TusPark Research Institute for Innovation Explores the Study on Russian Innovation EnvironmentPrint

Since the beginning of 2013, Tsinghua University TusPark Research Institute for Innovation has expanded its research direction and scientific research areas, invited relevant experts, and added the study on Russian innovation environment. Through efforts and exploration, its relevant researchers have moved forward continuously on Russian education and technology system reform and innovation environment research and other basic research work, and 10 articles have been published in News of the World, People's Daily Online, China Economic Net and other mainstream media, triggering a positive response from all walks of life.

In view of similar environment for innovation and starting point for reform in China and Russia (USSR), the Applied Research Department of the Research Institute, sticking to the combination of scientificity and practicality, has completed 10 articles through research interviews, data consultation, expert seminars and other methods, reflecting education and technological reform and innovative development in Russia. These articles include “Change of Russia “Silicon Valley” Manager for Innovation”, “Russia will reform the management system of Russian Academy of Sciences”, “New Leader of Russian Academy of Sciences - Fortov”, “The Controversial Reformer: Russian Minister of Education and Science - Ivanov”, “The Russian legendary scholarly merchant – Vekselberg and his innovation business”, “Female Governor of Russian Central Bank - Elvira Nabiullina”, “Russia's innovative electric three-wheeled cars - e-Trike resolve traffic jam and parking troubles”, “The world's most expensive tablet PC is upcoming”, “Russia makes efforts to encourage public transport vehicles to use gas instead of oil for energy saving”, “New network security solutions”, and were successively published in the News of the World, People's Daily Online, China Economic Net and Huanqiu.com, triggering a positive response, and more than ten important domestic and foreign news websites and commercial websites also republished these articles, such as Xinhua.net, China.org.cn, People's Daily Online, ifeng.com, Tencent, NetEase, sina.com.cn, hexun.com, eastday.com, jwb.com.cn, oushinet.com and stnn.cc.

 

The diplomats of the Science and Technology Department of the Russian Embassy in China called the relevant researchers, expressing that Tsinghua University TusPark Research Institute for Innovation's innovation research on Russia was informative and objective and put emphasis on practicality while ensuring high academic levels, and hoping that in-depth research work would be continued. The Committee of Experts under the “Sino-Russian Committee of Friendship, Peace and Development” also contacted Tsinghua University TusPark Research Institute for Innovation, and paid attention to the relevant research results. Relevant leaders of Zhongguancun Administrative Committee also expressed their support for this research direction.

The Fourth Article of the Joint Communique of Fifteenth Regular Meeting between the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers has such a statement: ...the two sides expressed that while speeding up the construction of existing science parks, they were interested in strengthening and expanding the cooperation in supporting and developing bilateral joint innovation agencies, laboratories, technological cooperation bases, business incubators. The two sides would encourage their scientific institutions, enterprises and companies to settle in each other's economic and technological transformation areas and high-tech development areas, so as to promote bilateral economic modernization and promote cooperation in the transformation of the technologies with development prospects and competitiveness. The Russian side requested the Chinese side to carry out research on the way of participation in the relevant construction and operation management projects of Skolkovo Innovation Center. The Chinese side expressed its willingness to share its experience in science park planning and construction. The Second Article of the Joint Communique of Eighteenth Regular Meeting between the Chinese and Russian Prime Ministers signed by Premier Li Keqiang and Russian Prime Minister Medvedev on October 23 this year also has such content: It was agreed that the two sides would further expand exchanges in the technological field, carry out cooperation on scientific research and achievement transformation, and promote the establishment of joint science parks, including border areas.

Tsinghua University TusPark Research Institute for Innovation will further carry out in-depth research in related fields, use theory to guide practice and promote the development of science parks and innovation field in China and Russia.
