TusPark InnoSpring Is Selected as One of the 24 Greatest Incubators in Silicon ValleyPrint

The emerging of incubators has become an irreversible trend in San Francisco Bay Area. According to the statistics from Y Combinator, there have been up to hundreds of incubators in Bay Area where there were only four incubators in 2007. Recently, UIPalette listed 24 greatest incubators in Bay Area. TusPark InnoSpring was on the list as the only incubator dedicated to cultivating Sino-U.S. start-ups. Though InnoSpring was established less than two years ago, the honor would definitely gave the team more confidence to the future as it has developed a foothold in so many incubators in Bay Area.

TusPark InnoSpring was the first Sino-U.S. high-tech incubator and science accelerator in Silicon Valley, committed to accelerating the process of transnational entrepreneurship and innovation between China and US. It was created jointly by TusPark, Shui On Group, NLVC and Bank of Silicon Valley and established on Jan, 8, 2012.

The creation of InnoSpring originated from the catch to two irreversible trends. First, those scientific and technological entrepreneurs who have great and enormous enthusiasm to Chinese market and are covetous of business opportunities are emerging constantly. Their entrepreneurial needs towards Chinese market are also increasing dramatically. Secondly, the speeding of Chinese technological enterprises’ global business and their needs for international clients are rising rapidly.  

Currently, InnoSpring launched a series of Start Global Programs targeting at Chinese scientific and technological enterprises and established companies.

• Enterprises Service

To establish branch in Silicon Valley, provide practical services like early stage planning consultation, visa immigration advisory service, laws and tax issues advice, the registration of company establishment, office space support(tangible and intangible), intellectual property protection and cross-cultural personnel management etc. services.

• Mentoring Service

  More than sixty mentors of InnoSpring come from varied science and technology fields. There are also a great number of skilled professionals with plenty experience on enterprise management, company operation and entrepreneurship. They will give face-to-face advice regularly, and one-to-one professional guidance and suggestions.

• Life Service

Provision of the local culture and language environment adaptability training as well as all-round life assistance for the staff.

• Later Stage Financing

InnoSpring Seed Fund comes from the investment front-runners including KPCB, NLVC，GSR Ventures，CBC Capital and TEEC Angel Fund. The start-up fund is 50,000 to 100,000 dollars and distributes to less than 15 start-ups each year. The selected start-ups will have the opportunities to get extra 100,000 to 250,000 dollars which is provided by TEEC Angel Fund. Other investors will probably bankroll extra 1,000,000 dollars so that the total investment can be up to 1,350,000 dollars.

• Start-up Accelerator

This project is going to sustain for six months during which enterprises can be tutored by the most professional and credible mentors one to one and participate in entrepreneurial workshops and meet-and-greets with start-ups investors. They also have chance to grow by competing with other scientific and technological enterprises in order to realize a qualitative leap in a pretty shot period.

Up to now, InnoSpring has invested in 16 start-ups and the total investment is around 2,000,000 dollars among which 80% of the companies are American start-ups. The proportion of Chinese companies is increasing continuously. The admission rate is 3% in more than 600 Business Plans around the world.
