Herbert Chen Is Elected New President of the IASP Asia Pacific DivisionPrint

Mr. Herbert Chen, representative of the IASP Full member TusPark (China), has been appointed as the new president of the IASP Asia Pacific division on the 29th January 2014.


Commenting on his role as new Regional President, Herbert Chen said: "It is a great honour to be the President of IASP Asia Pacific Division! As the representative of TusPark, I joined IASP at 2004, and for ten years I have been part of this great network. I have attended almost every world and divisional conference, met many colleagues and visited nearly 100 Science Parks all over the world. I have been learning and sharing a lot with other members, and TusPark has also become a well known University Science Park in the world Science Park industry. I have very much enjoyed the benefits that the IASP network has brought to TusPark and me."


Herbert Chen is a long standing IASP member with vast experience in the creation and management of Science Parks, and has also been leading the IASP China office since 2005. In his own words: "I will continue to do my best during my presidency period, to share my experience with others, to enhance the communication and knowledge sharing between Asian Pacific Division members, to make the network more active, nutritious and powerful."


Herbert Chen takes over from Jae Goo Lee, who led the IASP Asia Pacific Division since 2012 and has done great work for the Asia Pacific Division of our association.

IASP thanks the outgoing Regional President Jae Goo Lee for his efforts, especially with regard to setting up and running the IASP subnetwork - GTN Green Technology Network, and congratulates the new IASP Asian Division President Herbert Chen on his appointment.
