TusPark Business Incubator Assisted Weifang High-tech Zone in Establishing an Overseas IncubatorPrint

On March 31, 2014, InnoSpring Incubator of Shandong Weifang High-tech Zone was unveiled in Silicon Valley, U.S., which became the first overseas technology business incubator of Weifang City. Consul Zhu Hui of China’s Consulate General in San Francisco, Hu Wenxing, member of Party Working Committee and director of Market Supervision Administration Bureau of Weifang High-tech Zone, Vice CEO Zhang Jinsheng of Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., CEO Wang Xiao of InnoSpring Incubator of Tsinghua University Science Park and other leaders attended the opening ceremony of InnoSpring Incubator of Shandong Weifang High-tech Zone.
As an important part of the contents of cooperation between TusPark Business Incubator and Weifang High-tech Zone, the establishment of an overseas incubator has been a means expected by Weifang High-tech Zone to develop overseas customers. Since the establishment of partnership at the end of 2013, TusPark Business Incubator and Weifang High-tech Zone have started to carry out exploration and cooperation in various respects, including business incubation, incubator management, entrepreneurial environment building, management system support, TusStar Camp and introduction of global projects. Up to now, TusPark Business Incubator has organized project investigation delegations to Weifang several times, and some projects have settled in or will potentially settle in Weifang High-tech Zone. The establishment of InnoSpring Incubator of Shandong Weifang High-tech Zone in Silicon Valley marked the achievement of initial results by the two parties through bilateral cooperation. Located in Santa Clara - the core area of Silicon Valley and jointly developed by Tsinghua University Science Park, Shui On Group, Northern Light Venture Capital and Silicon Valley Bank, InnoSpring is the global first Sino-US high-technology start-up incubator, which covers an area of over 1000 m2 in April, 2012.
Currently, more than 40 start-up companies have settled in InnoSpring, covering such fields as electronic software, mobile communication, Internet consumption, hardware facilities, health care and clean energy technology. Through cooperation with InnoSpring, Weifang High-tech Zone can make use of InnoSpring’s mature operation mechanism and technological, marketing, talent and financial resources, so as to build a “bridgehead” and “probe” embedded in the global innovation highland and achieve a “high starting point” for overseas incubation and international technological cooperation.
