During October 9-15, 2014, CEO Wang Jiwu of Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., as a member of the Chinese government delegation, paid a visit to Europe. During his stay in Russia, CEO Wang attended the Third Moscow “Open Innovation” Forum. Moscow “Open Innovation” Forum is a global innovation discussion platform jointly sponsored by the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federal, Moscow City Government, Skolkovo Foundation and other organizations, which is committed to exploring the latest technology and international cooperation prospects in the field of innovation. The forum has been successfully held for two sessions before. Chinese Premier Li Keqiang, as the guest of honor of this forum, attended the opening ceremony of this forum and delivered a speech entitled “Achieve common development and embrace development through innovation”, and Prime Minister Medvedev of the Russian Federation also gave a speech at the opening ceremony.
CEO Wang Jiwu was invited as a speaker at the opening ceremony of the forum, and gave a speech at the two theme sub-forums “Entrepreneurial Culture” and “Creative Innovative” respectively. CEO Wang Jiwu shared innovation experience with the participating guests in combination with Tus-Holdings’ innovation practice, and answered the questions raised by the participating guests.
During the forum, the delegation of Tus-Holdings, led by CEO Wang Jiwu, visited a number of Russian innovation organizations, and held a talk with Vladislav Surkov, an aide to the president of the Russian Federation, and fruitful results were achieved.
Presidential Aide Surkov was in charge of the building of the Russian innovation system when he worked as deputy prime minister of the Russian Federation, and is very familiar with the innovation environment of China and Russia. During the talk, Mr. Surkov gladly accepted CEO Wang Jiwu’s invitation as an international consultant of TusPark, and gave constructive proposals regarding the cooperation between Tus-Holdings - TusPark and relevant Russia organizations, including technological innovation cooperation in the areas of mutual interest in a pragmatic manner. CEO Wang gave a positive response to Mr. Surkov’s proposals, and said he would submit specific cooperation plans based on the contents of this talk as soon as possible and instruct the Technical Assets Operation Center to coordinate and promote the starting and specific implementation of the projects.
Chairman Mr. Makhov, General Manager Mr. Timofeyev and Chief Innovation Officer Arkhipov of Russia Heavy Machinery Group (OMZ) - Tus-Holdings’ important partner in the field of technological service field received CEO Wang Jiwu and his entourages in the group’s headquarters. The two sides first made in-depth communication on their respective business areas and expansion direction, and agreed to future strengthen technological innovation cooperation in the high-end equipment manufacturing field. Then, under the witness of the media, the two sides signed “Moscow Protocol” on the specific technology transfer projects, which is a supplement of the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement”, signed by Tus-Holdings and OMZ Group at the end of 2013 and further define the details.
At the invitation of Skolkovo Foundation – one of the sponsors of Moscow “Open Innovation” Forum, CEO Wang Jiwu paid a visit to Skolkovo Innovation Center under construction, and held talks with Senior Vice President Mr. Vasily Belov of Skolkovo Innovation Center in charge of innovation development and General Manager Mr. Lenart Batyrov of Skolkovo Science Park and reached a consensus on a number of issues. Subsequently, CEO Wang Jiwu, on behalf of Tus- Holdings – TusPark, signed the “Strategic Cooperation Framework Agreement” at the Press Center of Moscow “Open Innovation” Forum with General Manager Mr. Lenart Batyrov of Skolkovo Science Park. According to the framework agreement, Tus-Holdings and Skolkovo Science Park would carry out all-round cooperation in joint establishment of innovation funds, promotion of bilateral joint entrepreneurship programs for the youth, joint building of incubators and technology transfer centers, technical innovation service and other fields. At the signing ceremony, CEO Wang said that under the new international political and economic situation nowadays, our cooperation with Skolkovo Science Park took place at the right time, the prospects for our cooperation were very promising with the construction and development of Tus-Holdings’ technological service platform and we would fully support Russia’s bid for holding the Annual Meeting of 2016 IASP. Shanghai Pujiang Innovation Forum is one of the international innovation discussion platforms of the highest level with the most extensive coverage in China, and Russia was invited to serve as a guest of honor of Pujiang Innovation Forum this year. While expressing their thanks to Tus-Holdings for supporting Russia’s bid for holding the Annual Meeting of 2016 IASP, the relevant personnel of Skolkovo Innovation Center invited CEO Wang Jiwu to serve as the Chinese host for Guest Country (Russia) Sub-forum of “Pujiang Innovation Forum”, and CEO Wang accepted the invitation gladly.
Sino-Russian Strategic Partnership of Coordination is becoming increasingly mature, the areas of cooperation are expanding, and the cooperation is deepening continuously. The cooperation between the two countries in technological innovation is in the ascendant, and the decision markers at the highest level have great expectations for the innovation cooperation between the two countries. China, as the guest of honor of Moscow 2014 “Open Innovation” Forum, appointed Premier Li Keqiang to attend the forum and gave a speech; Russia, as the guest of hour of “Pujiang Innovation Forum”, also appointed important senior officials to attend and speak at the forum. During the visit, CEO Wang Jiwu was also accompanied by Wang Nai, market development director of Tus-Holdings, Miao Chun and Wang Dongzheng from the Technical Assets Operation Center, etc.
