Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd. is signing a cooperation agreement with Yunnan University.

On November 3, Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd. signed an agreement with Yunnan University to jointly build TusPark of Yunnan University and Mass-Innovation Space of Yunnan University. Relying on the human resources and scientific research strengths of Yunnan University as well as TusHoldings’ resources and operation advantages in science parks, hi-tech industries, and hi-tech finance, this cooperation will effectively promote the linking of innovation fruits with industries, the linking of innovation projects with practical productivity, and the economic innovation and transformation of Yunnan. Li Pei, member of Yunnan provincial Party committee and secretary of College Affair Working Committee of Yunnan provincial Party committee, gave a speech at the signing ceremony. He wished that Yunnan University and TusHoldings could persist in the construction objective of domestically leading and internationally advanced project, and build TusPark of Yunnan University to an innovation and entrepreneurship platform that would promote social and economic development of Yunnan, serve the whole country, and be open to the South Asia and Southeast Asia. 

Yang Lin, Party secretary of Yunnan University, expressed that talent fostering and social service are main functions of colleges, and Yunnan University would play its role of main force in innovation driving, make the best of its advantages in talents and knowledge, integrate related resources, and participate comprehensively and in many forms together with TusHoldings in the service for college student entrepreneurs.

Xu Jinghong, board chairman of Tsinghua Holdings, thought highly of the cooperation between Tsinghua Holdings and Yunnan University. He wished to deepen the cooperation between Tsinghua University or Tsinghua Holdings and Yunnan by virtue of the building of TusPark of Yunnan University, build up the technological innovation atmosphere, foster innovation and entrepreneurship talents, promote commercialization of scientific research fruits, and change from the element driving and investment driving in the past to the truly innovation driving.

Wang Jiwu, president of Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., expressed that this cooperation was both a sharing process of past experiences and a start of cooperation in Yunnan. He wished to share TusHoldings’ experience and resources in operating TusPark in Beijing and the whole country with Yunnan University through this cooperation, to commercialize the advantages and scientific research fruits of Yunnan University and other colleges in Yunnan by means of TusPark and Tus Mass-Innovation Space of Yunnan University, and to provide good atmosphere for young student entrepreneurs. “So far TusPark has built nearly 100 bases in the world,” said by Wang Jiwu, “Kunming is a center facing Southeast Asia and radiating South Asia in the ‘Belt and Road’ strategy. In future the Company will increase fund investment and build 4 to 5 bases in Kunming to develop three-in-one science and technology industry that covers Science Park, hi-tech industries and hi-tech finance.”

The planned establishment of TusPark and Tus Mass-Innovation Space of Yunnan University is a concrete action of Yunnan University in implementing the innovation driving strategy of the provincial Party committee and provincial government, and will help to bring into full play the intelligence advantages and industrial advantages of the university and the enterprises. Both the TusPark of Yunnan University and the Mass-Innovation Space of Yunnan University will be located in Chenggong, respectively with a coverage of 300mu or so and 20,000m2 or so. As introduced by Wang Jiwu, president of Tus-Holdings Co., Ltd., TusPark of Yunnan University will be initiated soon, and Tus Mass-Innovation Space of Yunnan University will start operation by the end of this year. 

Based on the existing supporting funds for science parks, TusHoldings will introduce and set industrial funds and entrepreneurship funds in Kunming City and Yunnan University to greatly support mass entrepreneurship and innovation. In addition, TusHoldings has set nearly 100 bases in the world, and has large numbers of enterprise reserve. In the next step, it will realize interaction of the resources of each park by means of “Internet+”, break through the restriction of geographic position, and provide startups and entrepreneurs in Yunnan with more supports.

Yunnan University is a national key university jointly built by the Ministry of Education and Yunnan Province, and is one of the first batch of 211 program universities.
At present, Yunnan University has totally 58 national and provincial key subjects and provincial characteristic and advantageous subjects, and 48 scientific research platforms.
