Slush China 2015 International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Meeting Jointly Organized by TusHoldings and Slush in FinlandPrint

On October 13, 2015, Slush China 2015 (Slush China International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Meeting) was jointly organized by TusHoldings together with Slush (a top-grade innovation and entrepreneurship institution in Finland), Zhongguancun Software Park, and North European Science Park in Zhongguancun Software Park of Beijing, which was the second session of this Meeting following the session in 2014. Wang Jiwu, president of TusHoldings, gave a themed lecture titled by “cluster type innovation” as the representative of the organizers at the opening ceremony, in which the new concept of cluster type innovation was explained in detail and global coordinated development was advocated.


Meanwhile, TusHoldings and Slush reached consent on joint construction of Finland International Innovation Center based on the good cooperation, and signed a MOU. In future, they will implement a series of long-term cooperation projects to bring more elements of innovation and freedom to China. This meeting consisted of lectures of leading enterprisers in China and overseas countries, entrepreneurship competition of excellent startups, linking meeting of enterprises and investors, and so on. The startup winning the champion will be provided with opportunity to go to Helsinki, Finland for the final competition free of charge, and will face venture capital of hundreds of million.




MarjaRislakki (Finnish Ambassador to China), Guo Hong (director of the Management Committee of Zhongguancun), Meng Jingwei (member of Party committee of Haidian District and deputy head of Haidian District), and some other government leaders participated in this meeting. Representatives of many domestic and international famous enterprises and well-known investors such as Risto Siilasmaa (board chairman of Nokia), Yang Xu (global vice president of Intel and president of Greater China of Intel), and Peter Vesterbacka (co-sponsor and chief market office of Rovio) participated in the meeting and gave themed lectures.


Nowadays, the economic globalization requires all countries in the world to strengthen the innovation and cooperation in such fields as science and technology. Finland is one of the countries with developed information technology in the world, with No. 1 competitiveness in Europe, and with active innovation. It has built an efficient national innovation system, and is leading in the world in education and training and clean technologies. As the second largest economy in the world, China is actively implementing the strategy of innovative driven development, has developed the new trend of “mass entrepreneurship and innovation”, and has the development need for economic transformation and upgrading and great domestic market demand. It can be seen that these two countries have strong complementary advantages in technology and market, and the Sino-Finland cooperation will have good development prospect.


Slush International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Meeting (hereinafter referred to as “Slush Meeting” for short) is held in Helsinki, Finland in November each year. This meeting gathers many high-tech startups from Europe and Asia, attracts the attention of top investors and media in the world, and aims to provide a platform and bridge of communication and exchange among startups, hi-tech talents, top international investors, enterprise senior managers and media. Since the first session held in 2008, Slush Meeting has become the largest meeting of the same type in Europe. In November 2014, Wang Yang, vice premier of the State Council of China, attended the opening ceremony of Slush Meeting 2014 as a special guest and gave a themed lecture.
