Honeywell has a long history in China that goes back to 1935 when it established the first franchise in Shanghai. Another new starting point for Honeywell to integrate into China’s economic growth was when China opened the door to its economy in the 1980s, and was among the first multinationals to set up a representative office in Beijing, where they began a series of high-quality investments.
