Recently, Tus Research Institute for Innovation and School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University (under the National Entrepreneurship Research Center of Tsinghua University) officially signed the Cooperation Agreement on “Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (GEM) China Research Project”. From the signing date of the Agreement, the two parties will carry out long-term cooperation in GEM China project research.
  

Global Entrepreneurship Monitor (hereinafter referred to as GEM) is an international entrepreneurship research program jointly initiated by London Business School in the UK and Babson College - a top-ranked college in terms of entrepreneurship education in the US. The program focuses on research on entrepreneurship activities on a global scale. And ever since its inception in 1999, its research coverage has expanded from 10 countries to more than one hundred countries and regions, and its research findings have become an important source of information for the people from all over the world to know about entrepreneurship activities, environment and policies as well as other entrepreneurship issues. “Global Entrepreneurship Monitor China Report” is currently one of the world’s most influential Global Entrepreneurship Monitor research projects that our country takes part in and a report with international comparability completed under standard research methods and procedures. As an important source of information of Global Entrepreneurship Monitor reports, this report also contributes to the international entrepreneurship research significantly.


School of Economics and Management of Tsinghua University has started the GEM China project research ever since 2002, with its research findings producing a significant and profound impact on Chinese entrepreneurship research and practice and winning wide recognition from the government, experts, scholars and entrepreneurs. Tus Research Institute for Innovation has been devoted to the field of innovation and entrepreneurship research ever since its inception in 2009, and the “China Urban Innovative and Entrepreneurial Environment Evaluation and Research Report” it has released for five consecutive years ever since 2011 has become the authoritative report in the field of China urban innovative and entrepreneurial environment; moreover, it has undertaken a number of domestic and foreign innovation and entrepreneurship research tasks, including “Research on Technology-oriented ‘Massive Entrepreneurship and Innovation by All’ Evaluation System” of the Ministry of Science and Technology, “Feasibility Study on the Construction of Egypt BUE University Science Park” and “Research on the Development Planning of Malaysia MVV Science Park”.
