A Delegation from MOST of Thailand Visited TusHoldingsPrint

On January 14, a delegation led by PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ (Thailand’s Minister of Science and Technology) visited TusHoldings to further discuss and promote Sino-Thai cooperation in technological innovation, and Wang Jiwu (CEO of TusHoldings) warmly welcomed the delegation. Following the visit of TusHoldings’ delegation led by CEO Wang Jiwu to Thailand, Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ’s visit further promoted the relevant work.

After the visit to TusHoldings, Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ had a talk with Vice President of Tsinghua University Shi Yigong and then had a working lunch together; according to the visit schedule, Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ will also meet Chinese Minister of Science and Technology Wan Gang and pay a visit to Beijing Qiaobo Ski World.

At the symposium, Minster PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ said that the Thai Government had increased investment in technological development, actively created a favorable investment environment and formulated various preferential policies on land, visa, etc. in recent years. In view of the advantages of Thailand’s agricultural development, he hoped that the two sides would cooperate to build an agricultural science park for the development of agricultural technology. He also hoped that TusHoldings would introduce its rich incubation experience and advanced operating models into Thailand, so as to speed up the cooperation in different fields and build an innovation ecosystem. He said, “The cooperation between TusHoldings and NIA (National Innovation Agency of the Ministry of Science and Technology of the Kingdom of Thailand) and PM Group is not only the new development milestone of friendship between China and Thailand but also the new benchmark of the Asia-Pacific technological breakthroughs.”

CEO Wang Jiwu welcomed Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ and his delegation warmly and introduced TusHoldings’ accumulation and advantages in terms of technological service and agriculture. CEO Wang Jiwu said that the cooperation between TusHoldings and Thailand PM Group was a powerful expression of the talk achievements of the two sides and an important way for the collaborative development of both sides. TusHoldings has a good brand, great social influence as well as core competitive advantages in technological innovation, technological finance, technological incubation, energy saving, environmental protection, food technology and other fields; TusHoldings is willing to transplant its funds, brand, personnel, technology and other advantages to Thailand, and promote fruitful cooperation in reliance on three platform forces, i.e. Thai local partners, joint funds and science parks.

At the symposium, the participants of the two sides also conducted communication on a number of issues, such as “TusStar incubation experience”, “Investment support policies of the Chinese Government” and “Cooperation in agricultural technology innovation”. Lin Jian, deputy general manager of TusPark Business Incubator, introduced the core business model of TusPark incubation and shared incubation experience and achievements.

After the symposium, under the witness of Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ and CEO Wang Jiwu, Executive Vice CEO of TusHoldings Herbert Chen and CHALERMCHAI  MAHAGITSIRI (CEO of Thailand PM Group) signed a strategic cooperation agreement, marking that the two parties will carry out cooperation in the fields of technological innovation, energy saving & environmental protection, online education, food technology, etc. According to the agreement, the two parties will establish a strategic partnership, achieve social and economic benefits through complementary advantages and resources sharing, and promote Sino-Thai economic and social cooperation. TusHoldings and Thailand PM Group will: take Thailand as the point of radiation and jointly develop science parks in Thailand and neighboring countries, establish a joint investment fund to invest in and incubate start-up enterprises, jointly invest in listed companies in Thailand, promote collaboration in the environmental areas, such as solar and renewable energy, wastewater treatment, solid waste treatment and air purification, enhance Chinese and Thai herbal technology and contribute to the development of grand health, and create entrepreneurship training systems and professional courses and develop online education.

Later, Minister PICHET DURONGKAVEROJ and his entourage visited TusStar Incubator, Tsinghua X-lab and Tus-Industry Exhibition Hall, conducted a field investigation into TusHoldings’ incubation business and service system respectively, gained an understanding of the core technologies and their commercial applications of TusHoldings’ industrial enterprises - Yadu Indoor Environmental Science and Technology and Tsinghua Solar, and discussed the implementation details of the cooperation projects.
