President of the Swiss Confederation Has a Dialogue with Mei MengPrint

On the occasion of the state visit of Mr. Johann Schneider-Amman, President of the Swiss Confederation to China, the Fourth Sino-Swiss Economic Forum was successfully held in Rosewood Beijing on April 8. Johann Schneider-Amman, President of the Swiss Confederation and Zhong Shan, vice minister of the Ministry of Commerce of the People's Republic of China attended this forum. Mei Meng, chairman of the board of TusHoldings, Wang Hongzhang, chairman of the board of China Construction Bank, Peter Voser, chairman of the board of ABB, Christoph Maeder, executive director of Syngenta and other prominent figures from Sino-Swiss industrial and commercial circles respectively gave a speech in the forum and discussed the science & technology innovation, financial trade and other core problems.

During this forum, Mei Meng, chairman of the board, had a dialogue with President Johann Schneider-Amman. Mei Meng, chairman of the board, introduced the progress obtained by TusHoldings from the cooperation in the Sino-Swiss innovative and entrepreneurial field and hoped that TusHoldings will create the Chinese value for Swiss enterprises through its own perfect innovation radiation network and strong entrepreneurial ecosystem and also bring about the global perspective for Chinese enterprises through Switzerland so as to become a bridge of Sino-Swiss innovative and entrepreneurial cooperation. President Johann Schneider-Amman said, “Switzerland is honored as one of the countries excelling at innovation with many world-leading innovation modes. Universities play an indispensable role in the process of innovation.” Meanwhile, President Johann Schneider-Amman gave a high praise to the achievements obtained by TusHoldings from the Sino-Swiss innovation cooperation field.

On April 8, China and Switzerland jointly issued the Sino-Swiss Joint Declaration on the Establishment of Innovation Strategy Partnership, so that Switzerland has become the first country having innovation strategy partnership with China. This is the first “innovation strategy partnership” with unique characteristics established by China and a foreign country and also another attempt of China and a developed country deeply excavating cooperation potential after the Sino-German innovation cooperation year. China and Switzerland establish the innovation strategy partnership, implement the innovation strategy connection, give full play to their respective advantages and jointly improve their innovation capability, which will not only bring about new power and expand new space for the economic development of China and Switzerland but also provide new demonstration and new experience for international innovation cooperation.
