As an important content of Beijing Olympic Music Week, “Hello, Winter Olympics ” Beijing International Children’s Choral Festival is the first themed event launched after TusHoldings and Beijing Olympic City Development Association became strategic partners on Beijing Olympic Music Week. Taking the tenet of “promoting Olympic culture and spirit”, this Event will successively hold a series of international music exchange events all over the country from September 2016 to January 2017, such as “selection of singers for domestic children’s choruses”, “exchange performance of domestic and overseas children’s choruses”, “Beijing International Children’s Chorus Art and Education Summit”, “Olympic Chorus Master Class”, “Olympic Trip of Music”, and so on. This Event is jointly organized by Beijing Voice of Tus Music, Culture and Media Co., Ltd., Kaku Children’s Channel of Beijing TV, and Music Broadcasting Team of Beijing People’s Broadcasting Station, and has received great supports from many provincial and municipal education and cultural administrations.

It was introduced that Mr. Tang Muhai, a famous conductor, was invited to act as the art director of this Event. This was the first instance where a children’s musical event was led by a world class conductor in China. In addition, by means of two-way musical and cultural exchanges consisting of invitation of children’s choruses from the cities which hosted the Winter Olympics to Beijing each year and the “Olympic Trip of Music” of domestic choruses to other countries, this Event will complete in 2022 the first “great gathering of the Winter Olympic cities” in the history of Olympics. By then, children’s choruses from all cities that hosted the Winter Olympics in the past will gather in Beijing to sing for the Olympics. Meanwhile, this Event will be continued after 2022 as an important event in the field of Olympic culture in China.
