The chance comes from the special nature of TusHoldings . In 1988, the State Council approved the establishment of Beijing New Technology Industry Development Experimental Zone, which was the predecessor of Zhongguancun. TusPark Development Center, which was established in August 1994, is the predecessor of TusHoldings . Over 22 years, several generations of TusHoldings strivers have kept on with innovation-based development, ranging from the model of “integration, cooperation, profession and breakthrough” to the system of innovative elements integrating “government, research institutions, colleges, enterprises, banks, intermediaries, traders and media” and to the “three-in-one” pattern of clustered innovative and ST parks, ST industry and technology-based finance. Depending on its long-term development, focus on innovation and talent-oriented concept, TusHoldings not only makes contributions to national development and technological innovation but also develops into a technology services leader under the specialized, networked, scale-sized and internationalized development strategy.
The inevitability comes from the fact that China has attached great importance to scientific and technological innovation, constantly improved the relevant systems and mechanisms and actively implemented the innovation-driven strategy to promote public entrepreneurship and innovation for a long term. In 2014, the State Council issued the Opinions on Accelerating the Development of Science and Technology Service Industry to clearly specify the general requirements, key tasks, policies and measures of the science and technology service industry. As the science and technology service industry is provided with good opportunities for development, there is no doubt that a thousand-billion-yuan-valued enterprise will appear sooner or later.
According to TusHoldings , the role of the science and technology service industry is to “serve and use science and technology”. This opinion is quite pertinent. Accelerating the development of the science and technology service industry is an objective requirement for boosting scientific and technological innovation and transfer of technological achievements and promoting in-dept integration of technology and economy, an important measure to adjust and optimize the industrial structure and develop new economic growth points and a critical step for achieving scientific and technological innovation based industrial upgrading to promote economic development at a mid-range/high-end level, which is greatly significant in further implementation of the innovation-driven development strategy and promoting the economic quality and efficiency upgrading.
According to statistics, in the first quarter of this year, the revenue of the science and technology service industry grew by 12.2% on a YoY basis, with the operating profit increased by 10.4% and the proportion of the science and technology service industry further expanded in the entire service industry. However, on the whole, the Chinese science and technology service industry is still in its infancy, where the main market body is not mature, the service entity is not specialized, few high-end service commercial activities are conducted, and the whole industry is lack of well-known brands, perfect development environment and compound talents.
The success of a company doesn’t symbolize the success of the entire industry. At present, China is just in the critical period of continuing conversion from old momentums to new ones and of economic transformation and upgrading, which requires more outstanding ST service companies for medium-speed/high-speed economic growth and mid-range/high-end economic level. The call for innovation and entrepreneurship needs to be responded by more ST service companies. More enterprises are expected to comply with the national innovation strategy and satisfy the people's livelihood needs and innovate ST service patterns consciously, so as to rise based on accumulated strength!
