A Visit of Mr. Dejan Zidan (Vice Premier of the Republic of Slovenia) to TusKspacePrint

On November 7, 2016, Mr. Dejan Zidan, vice premier and Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Republic of Slovenia, visited TusKspace, accompanied by Yang Lin (Party committee secretary of Yunnan University) and Hao Shumei (president assistant of Yunnan University). The two parties had an exchange on potential cooperation in recycling of agricultural wastes.

Mr. Dejan Zidan visited some projects incubated in TusKspace, such as “Yunbaicao”, “Perennial Rice” and PBM New Material. Mr. Dejan Zidan was very interested in the technical show of production of new type building materials with straws under the PBM New Material Project, and asked about the detailed principles, production process and product performance. He said that straw crops such as corn are main crops in Slovenia and this technology could be a model for the agriculture of Slovenia in efficient and bio-friendly disposal of straws. He also had a cordial talk with the business starting students in TusKspace and hoped these students could achieve greater success in the path of innovation and entrepreneurship by virtue of this platform.

In addition, Dejan Zidan also visited the project exhibition area and open office of TusKspace, where he learned the philosophy and operation mode of TusKspace as well as the “three-in-one” business mode of “science parks, technological industries and technological finance” of TusHoldings and the concept of clustering innovation. 

Participants of the above-mentioned activities also included Pritzi (Slovenian Ambassador in China), Snessana Popovic (director of EU Coordination and International Affair Service Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia), Luca Casevall (director of Public Relation and Promotion Service Bureau, Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Food of Slovenia), Pumi Glasba (minister plenipotentiary of Slovenian Ambassy in China and some officers of Yunnan University.
