Sino-CEEC Youth Entrepreneurship Base Settled in TusCity NanjingPrint

From November 7 to November 11, 2016, the First Sino-CEEC Innovation Cooperation Conference hosted by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China was held in Nanjing. Wan Gang (Minister of Science and Technology of China) and Li Qiang (secretary of provincial Party committee of Jiangsu) attended the opening ceremony and made speeches, and Shi Taifeng (governor of Jiangsu Province) attended this conference. Representatives of the Ministry of Science and Technology of China and Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology as well as leaders of the ministries of science and technology of 16 central and eastern European countries, such as Poland, the Czech Republic, Croatia and Serbia, attended this conference. “The First Sino-CEEC Youth Entrepreneurship Forum”, an important element of this conference, was jointly organized by TusPark Jiangsu and Jiangsu Productivity Center (JSPC).
At the beginning of this event, Jiang Yuejian (vice director of Jiangsu Provincial Department of Science and Technology) and Wu Zhen (senior vice president of TusHoldings, Party committee secretary of Tus-Xiexin and professor of Tsinghua University) jointly unveiled the nameplate of “Sino-CEEC Youth Entrepreneurship Base”. This Base, which is jointly constructed by TusPark Jiangsu and JSPC, will be settled in TusCity Nanjing. It will not only provide outstanding youth startup enterprises from CEEC with internationalized office and product exhibition environment, but also provide Soft Landing service package for young talents from central and eastern European countries (CEEC), including services in respect to personnel recruitment, HR outsourcing, law & policy consulting, capital linking, industrial linking, product publicity and guidance by Chinese entrepreneurship mentors. These Soft Landing services can help to reduce difficulties in business startup in China for outstanding foreign enterprises, lower the cost of entry into Chinese market, quicken the integration of capital and industries in China, and improve the success rate of transnational entrepreneurship.

During the speech time of the forum, Hu Bo, vice president of TusHoldings and board chairman of TusPark Jiangsu, gave a speech titled “TusHoldings is Going with the Belt and Road Entrepreneurs”. He introduced how TusHoldings, an outstanding representative in the field of scientific and technological services in China, helped young entrepreneurs to succeed, and briefly introduced the nation-wide and global innovation network of TusHoldings. He also explained in detail TusHoldings’ concept of clustering innovation and “three-in-one ”development thought of “science parks, technological industries and technological finance” to the leaders of science and technology ministries/departments of China and other countries and the young entrepreneurs in these countries. At last, Hu Bo invited entrepreneurs in CEEC to start up business and develop in China with the support from TusHoldings.

In the future, as s provincial platform enterprise subordinate to TusHoldings, TusPark Jiangsu will take the mission of serving the industrial innovation and upgrading in Jiangsu, be guided by the concept of “clustering innovation and coordinated development” of TusHoldings, rely on the global innovation network of TusHoldings, grasp the opportunity brought by the “Belt and Road” strategy, actively promote the scientific and technological cooperation with the countries along the “Belt and Road”, and help Jiangsu in building of an “internationally influential industrial S&T innovation center”.

The 16 central and eastern European countries (CEECs) include Poland, the Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Slovenia, Croatia, Romania, Bulgaria, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Albania, Estonia, Lithuania and Latvia. These countries have solid economic foundation, rich natural resources and high scientific & technological and educational level. With a population of 1.3 billion, China has a huge market, a sound industrial system (especially equipment manufacturing) and sufficient funds. Therefore, China and CEECs can complement advantages of each other, build up industrial links, and achieve joint development. It is expected that the innovation cooperation between China and CEECs will become a new highlight of Sino-CEEC cooperation.
Sino-CEEC Cooperation Program Suzhou: In November 2015, the fourth Sino-CEEC Summit was held in Suzhou, China, at which Premier Li Keqiang and the leaders of 16 CEECs designed the cooperation framework in inter-connection, trade and investment, finance, agriculture, cultural exchange, and so on, and worked out a new five-year cooperation blueprint. After the meeting, China and the 16 CEECs jointly released Medium-term Plan for Sino-CEEC Cooperation and Sino-CEEC Cooperation Program Suzhou.
Sino-CEEC Cooperation Program Riga: On November 5, 2016, Premier Li Keqiang attended the Fifth Sino-CEEC Summit in Riga, capital of Latvia. Li Keqiang expressed that the “16+1” cooperation framework had been comprehensively followed according to the Medium-term Plan for Sino-CEEC Cooperation since the meeting held in Suzhou last year, considerable fruits had been achieved by virtue of openness, comprehension and down-to-earth promotion, and the more than 50 actions determined in the Sino-CEEC Cooperation Program had been basically implemented. Li Keqiang also pointed out that the “16+1” cooperation was an active force to promote world peace and development, was an important component and helpful supplement of China-Europe cooperation, and was conducive to the construction of the four partnerships and five platforms between China and Europe, balanced development of Europe, and European integration. After the meeting, China and the 16 CEECs jointly released Sino-CEEC Cooperation Program Riga and a joint statement on cooperation related to infrastructures and equipment of harbors in the Three Sea Areas.
