TusHoldings Signs an Agreement with Trinity College, University of Cambridge in Beijing to Promote Sino-Britain Cooperation in BiomedicinePrint

On February 1, during Theresa May's visit to China, Shugui WANG, Executive Vice President of TusHoldings and Chairman of Tus-Science & Technology Service Group, and Gregory Winter, Dean of Trinity College, University of Cambridge, signed in Beijing an agreement on the construction of TusPark Cambridge, based on which the two parties will jointly build a platform for Sino-Britain scientific and technological cooperation. Xiaotao JIN, President of Chinese Health Information and Big Data Association, and Liam Fox, Secretary of State for International Trade of Britain, witnessed the agreement signing process.

In the opinion of Theresa May, cooperation between the world top-grade universities (Tsinghua University and Cambridge University) has set a good model for China-Britain cooperation. This cooperation can positively promote the development of biotechnology in Cambridge region and greatly facilitate the scientific research advancement and development of innovative enterprises in the two countries.

With the support from relevant organizations in China and Britain, TusHoldings will become an important strategic partner of Trinity College after this cooperation, and Cambridge Science Park, a world famous highland of scientific and technological innovation, will meet new strategic development opportunities thanks to its cooperation with TusHoldings. According to the agreement, TusHoldings and Cambridge Science Park subordinate to Trinity College will jointly build several R&D, incubation and innovation centers in the fields of S&T and biomedicine, including the first biotech comprehensive innovation carrier (BioHub) in the history of Cambridge Science Park. BioHub, with a planned coverage of 35,000m2, will take up 25% of the total area of Cambridge Science Park after completion of construction.
At present, TusHoldings has reached a cooperation intention with Xiongan New Area to build a biotech innovation carrier integrating incubator, accelerator and industrial park in Xiongan New Area. Then, advanced talents, technologies and other resources in China and Britain will be introduced to that area. TusHoldings and Trinity College will jointly make contribution to promotion of research finding commercialization of universities, cultivation of innovative talents and incubation of startup enterprises in the world and to building of Sino-Britain global innovation network.

Liam Fox expressed in his speech that the cooperation between TusHoldings and Trinity College was no doubt a model of global cooperation in the new era, and the cooperation projects represented by TusPark Cambridge brought him great confidence in the wider cooperation prospect between China and Britain. He also said that China is an important partner of Britain, and Chinese enterprises are welcome to invest in Britain so that the two parties could share the development opportunities.
Ming YANG, President of Tus-Science & Technology Service Group, and Zhuocun LIN, Vice President of Tus-Science & Technology Service Group and General Manager of TusPark Cambridge, also participated in the above-mentioned activities.
