French Prime Minister Edouard Philippe visited China from June 22nd to 25th and went to Shenzhen, Shanghai and Beijing in succession. On June 25th, in order to implement the Sino-French cooperation under the framework of the “Belt and Road” and promote the initiation of Sino-French innovation cooperation projects in energy and other fields, the signing ceremony for Sino-French specific cooperation projects of the new Silk Road was held in the French Embassy in China. Under the witness of Elisabeth Borne, French Minister of Transport and Delphine Geny-Stephann, State Secretary of the French Ministry of Economy and Finance, Dong ZHAO, Executive Vice President of TusHoldings and Didier Holleaux, Vice President of the French ENGIE Group signed a cooperation agreement to promote the development of the Sino-French renewable energy and smart energy service fields.

ENGIE China is a wholly-owned subsidiary of the ENGIE Group. As the global leader in energy transformation, ENGIE Group ranked 93rd on the list of global Fortune 500 companies in 2017. Didier Holleaux said that this cooperation was a historic moment for the journey of cooperation between the two parties. In the future, the two parties will enhance cooperation, jointly develop concentrating solar power generation projects, and provide smart energy services in the countries along the “Belt and Road”, such as China, Egypt and Thailand.

In recent years, TusHoldings has actively cooperated with ENGIE China in green energy assets and technical services. Among them, the cooperation between Tustsingyun and ENGIE China in domestic energy project development, investment and technology has achieved initial results. Yang JIN, CEO of Tustsingyun said at the signing ceremony that as a representative of the renewable energy industry under TusHoldings and the implementer of this cooperation agreement, Tustsingyun would continue to give play to TusHoldings’ technology innovation advantages and international layout resources, further deepen and expand the all-round cooperation between the two parties in the field of renewable energy in China, and make deployment according to the “Belt and Road” Initiative.
According to the agreement, in the field of renewable energy, TusHoldings will further expand and deepen the range of cooperation with ENGIE China on the basis of preliminary cooperation and jointly develop solar and offshore wind power projects and other projects. At the same time, in the field of smart energy services, the two parties will rely on TusHoldings’ global innovation network and ENGIE Group’s project experience to improve energy services such as distributed energy, electricity sales, charging piles and energy storage, and provide integrated energy management and energy big data services for the customers in TusPark.

Another news: On June 24th, Edouard Philippe was a guest lecturer at the Tsinghua Global Vision Lectures, delivering a keynote speech entitled “Innovation: Strategic Cooperation to Serve Global Challenges” in the main building of Tsinghua University.
