Wei YUAN, President of TusHoldings, gave a keynote speech at MIT

At the exchange meeting co-chaired by Vice President Greg Morgan and Associate Provost Richard Lester, President Wei YUAN gave a keynote speech entitled “TUS-HOLDINGS: ESTABLISHING INNOVATION & ENTREPRENEURSHIP ECOSYSTEM”, introduced the global innovation ecosystem established by TusHoldings to the leaders, director of the Technology Transfer Office and the heads of relevant schools and departments of MIT, elaborated on the important function of TusHoldings to actively undertake Tsinghua University’s role of serving the society through the TusPark and the innovation base cluster, as well as its efforts and achievements in terms of training of innovation talents, incubation of start-up enterprises and transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and conducted exchanges and discussion on the subject matter.

At the public lecture to the teachers and students of MIT, President Wei YUAN also introduced TusHoldings’ establishment of an innovative ecosystem through the three-dimensional triple helix model of “Park + Industry + Finance”, “Technology + Capital + Industry” and “Government + Enterprise + University”, and its positive practice of promoting the transformation of scientific and technological achievements and accelerating the development of the technology industry. Bo LIU, Deputy General Manager of TusPark Business Incubator conducted exchanges and discussion with the participating teachers and students of MIT on TusHoldings’ “Incubation + Investment” model.


During her visit to the MIT, President Wei YUAN was also appointed as a member of the Advisory Committee of the MIT-Tsinghua Future City Innovation Connector Program and paid a visit to the MIT Media Lab - a world-renowned interdisciplinary research laboratory and MIT Foundation.


During her stay in the United States, President Wei YUAN and her colleagues also visited the Global Innovation Exchange Institute of Tsinghua University (GIX) in Seattle and the North American R&D Center of BYTON in Silicon Valley. The leaders visiting the United States together also included: Jinsheng ZHANG, Vice President of TusHoldings, Qing ZHAO, Senior Vice President of TusHoldings, Jay LIN, International Development Director of TusHoldings, Yusong SU, Deputy Director of the President’s Office, and Bo LIU, Deputy General Manager of TusStar Incubator.
