TusPark Establishes An Overseas Science Park In Cambridge, a Landmark Investment in the Cambridge Science Park, UKPrint

On the afternoon of July 19th, UK time, the opening ceremony of TusPark • Cambridge, invested by TusHoldings, was held in the Cambridge Science Park in the UK. Meanwhile, the topping-out ceremony was held for the Bio-Innovation Centre in the park.


TusPark Cambridge is the first overseas science park invested by TusHoldings, consisting of 4 buildings and over 34,000 square meters office and laboratory space. Tuspark Cambridge will join the forces of TusHoldings, a global leading science and technology service enterprise, and the Cambridge Science Park, a world-renowned hub of talents and industrial cluster, especially in the biotechnology field. The mission of the newly constructed Bio-Innovation Centre is to incubate and cultivate a large number of start-up and scale-up biotechnology enterprises, promote the development of biotech science and technology, and create a substantial amount of opportunities for cross-border cooperation. The Bio-Innovation Centre is the first in the history of the Cambridge Science Park and will play a key role in TusHoldings’ global technology innovation network. The network will be instrumental to promote the advanced science and technology innovation system of Cambridge and the UK in the bio-tech and med-tech industry to the world more effectively and interactively.


In the opening speech, Sir Greg Winter, Master of Trinity College, University of Cambridge, stated that TusHoldings has become a main strategic partner of Trinity College, University of Cambridge. The collaboration between TusHoldings and Trinity College will bring new strategic development opportunities for the Cambridge Science Park. Trinity College will work with TusHoldings closely in the fields of life sciences, digital technology, energy storage and environmental protection, thereby providing innovative solutions to major global challenges.
 


Mr. WANG Jiwu, Chairman of TusHoldings, said in his opening speech that the collaboration between TusHoldings, Trinity College, and Cambridge Science Park is an important milestone in the development of TusHoldings’ global innovation network. TusPark Cambridge will make every effort to realise its motto of “Taking Science and Technology as a Belief”, and “Serving the Science and Technology, and Serving with Science and Technology”. TusHoldings will also strive to promote the interactive collaboration between the two parties in science and technology innovation resources and ecosystem. In the next 3-5 years, the collaboration is projected to bring together global entrepreneurial talents, facilitate the commercialisation of science and technology breakthroughs, and aid the globalisation of local companies. TusPark Cambridge will become a classic case of collaboration between two world-class science parks (Cambridge Science Park and TusPark).


The ceremony was also presided over by Julie Spence, Lord Lieutenant of Cambridgeshire, MA Hui, Minister of the Embassy of PRC in the UK, David Sheppard, Head of Asia from the Department for International Trade (DIT) of the UK, Andy Harter CBE FREng, High Sheriff of Cambridgeshire, WANG Yan, Vice Chairperson of Tsinghua University Council and Vice President of Alumni Association of Tsinghua University, ZHOU Yuxian, General Manager of CNIC Corporation Limited, WANG Shugui, Chief Operating Officer of TusHoldings and Chairman of Tus-Science & Technology Service Group, YANG Ming, President of Tus-Science & Technology Service Group, etc.
