Dear Tan Sri, Puan Sri, Dato and Datin, dear guests, hello everyone! Thank you for inviting me to this ceremony. As there are many foreign guests, please allow me to speak in English below:  

Ladies and gentlemen, good morning! Thanks for inviting me to this ceremony and giving me this opportunity to speak. I’m glad to attend this opening ceremony of TusStar (Malaysia) of Brunsfield TusStar. First of all, I would like to congratulate Brunsfield and TusHoldings on their successful cooperation and the building of this platform for great ideas and innovation in Kuala Lumpur. 

I’m very happy to see that TusHoldings, an enterprise of the famous Tsinghua University, enters Malaysia. You have made outstanding achievements in the world. More than 5,000 enterprises have been incubated by you, including 35 ones that have gotten listed successfully. 

I think this incubator can help Malaysian entrepreneurs release their true potential, and also opens the gate of Chinese market for them. I’ve learned that Malaysian entrepreneurs can come to TusStar (Malaysia) for roadshow, and chosen ones and their teams will be provided with good opportunity to grow. 

The joint venture established by Brunsfield and TusHoldings will provide many services including financing services, can offer helps to enterprises in many phases from business proposal and ideas to execution of ideas, enterprise growth, value enhancement, and so on, and can help enterprises go global, including entering Chinese market – it would be difficult to enter this market without proper guidance. 

As Steve Jobs once said: “To me, ideas are worth nothing unless executed. They are just a multiplier. Execution is worth millions.” With the platform provided by TusStar (Malaysia), Malaysian entrepreneurs will have the opportunity to see their ideas come true.

Ladies and gentlemen, I’ve learned that TusStar (Malaysia) also plans to open more incubators in other parts of Malaysia. At the same time, it is also considering the possibility of opening a science park, and is exploring other potential areas of cooperation. Malaysia always hopes to cooperate with partners in a mutually beneficial field.


Ladies and gentlemen, Malaysia is a growing country and is dedicated to developing to a high-income developed country. To achieve this goal, we need to increase productivity and focus on technology, innovation and entrepreneurship to drive us forward. The digital economy is a new impetus for development and the main source of growth in today’s world. It provides an opportunity to promote growth, increase employment and accelerate innovation.

Digital economy, innovation and entrepreneurship not only provide new opportunities for economic growth, but also provide opportunities for entrepreneurs to innovate and enhance social welfare. In embracing digitalization and globalization, we expect partners from all over the world, especially global leaders like TusHoldings, to participate in the exciting coordinated development of Malaysia.

Moreover, in today’s globalized economic environment, it is vital for enterprisers to obtain appropriate support in their globalized development. Therefore, I am excited to hear that the TusStar (Malaysia) incubator of Brunsfield TusStar will contribute to connecting entrepreneurs in China and Malaysia.

Ladies and gentlemen, the government is strongly supporting the development of digital entrepreneurship ecosystem, and is committed to transforming Malaysia to a knowledge-based developed economy. At the same time, the government hopes that this developed economy will be comprehensive and sustainable, and will energize young people, women, the rich and the poor in our multiethnic society.

I hope that this new incubator will play a platform role, gestate new ideas and promote public benefiting and more inclusive development. Finally, I would like to quote the words of Margaret Mead, an American anthropologist: “Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed citizens can change the world; indeed, it’s the only thing that ever has.” Digital innovation and entrepreneurship have the potential to change the way we interact with the world. I hope that our entrepreneurs can be determined to lead changes and make the world we live in better.
