Chairman Jiwu WANG Meets Representatives of ASEAN Countries Attending the 10th Tus Innovation ForumPrint

On the afternoon of November 16, Jiwu WANG, Chairman of TusHoldings and Chinese Chairman of the China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee, met Kamaluddin, the ASEAN Chairman of the China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee and Chairman of the National Chamber of Commerce & Industry of Brunei Darussalam, and other representatives of ASEAN countries who attended the 2nd Tsinghua University “Belt and Road” Cooperation Forum & the 10th Tus Innovation Forum in Nanning. The meeting was hosted by Dongming LI, Senior Vice President of TusHoldings, Chairman of TusCity Guangxi and Executive Chairman of China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee.
At the meeting, Jiwu WANG welcomed the arrival of the members of the China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee, representatives of ASEAN countries and business elites from these countries. He introduced the main work carried out by the China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee over the past year since its establishment and proposed to further promote the relevant work and cooperation through three measures: First, promote the TusHoldings and other Chinese technology enterprises to strengthen exchanges with ASEAN countries; second, actively participate in Thailand’s EEC (Eastern Economic Corridor) Project, and build a scientific and technological innovation corridor model linking ASEAN countries; third, on the basis of TusHoldings’ global innovation network, establish a sounder mechanism through the Secretariat of the China-ASEAN Science & Technology Industry Cooperation Committee, and jointly develop the science and technology industry.
During the meeting, Kamaluddin invited Board Chairman WANG Jiwu et al. to Brunei Darussalam. He said that the Office of the Prime Minister of Brunei Darussalam had set up a ministry of innovation and creativity industry to promote the development of the innovation and creativity industry. So he hoped that TusHoldings would pay a visit to Brunei Darussalam to strengthen cooperation. At the meeting, CHEN Youxin, President of the Malaysia-China Chamber of Commerce, introduced the current development of the Chamber of Commerce and welcomed TusHoldings and Chinese companies to cooperate with Malaysia in the cross-border E-commerce field. Representatives from the Philippines, Nepal, Myanmar, Vietnam, Laos, Thailand and other countries also exchanged views on cooperation and development in wind power, biomedicine and other science and technology industries.

Nanning Tus-ASEAN Innovation Center (hereinafter referred to as the “Center”) was officially unveiled at this forum. The base combines the development needs of Guangxi and even ASEAN, and forms the development model centered on “Incubation Service + Entrepreneurship Training + Angel Investment + Open Platform” to promote independent scientific and technological innovation. TusStar “Belt and Road” Incubation Base integrates open office areas, separate single offices, small meeting rooms, multimedia meeting rooms and open reception rooms into an organic whole for the use by the incubation team.
China-ASEAN Scientific and Technological Cooperation and Cross-border E-commerce Development Forum, as one of the important activities of this forum, takes the cross-border scientific and technological cooperation and cross-border E-commerce as the main thread, carries out keynote speeches and high-end dialogues on cross-border scientific and technological cooperation platform and cross-border E-commerce platform, seeks the development and cooperation between China and the “Belt and Road” countries, and promotes investment and service cooperation between the technology industry and E-commerce.
