2019 1st Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau Innovation Competition Themed with “Create an Innovative Future” Pushes Forward the Development of the Intelligent Technology Industry in Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay AreaPrint

On March 29th, the finals of  2019 1st Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau Innovation Competition (themed with “Create an Innovative Future”) sponsored by TusFinancial Group and jointly organized by TusStar and Beijing-Macau Economic and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association ended successfully at the HK TusStar. After several rounds of competition, Baicells won the special prize of RMB 20 million investment from TusFinancial Group, and Xintai Shikong Technology won the first prize of RMB 5 million investment from TusFinancial Group. DOSEE Technology and Thinkhub won the second prize of RMB 2 million investment from TusFinancial Group, MindSense, Zhiyou Technology and NRadio won the third prize. All winning teams will also obtain the office space support of the HK TusStar in Kwun Tong and the membership of the TusStar Global Network.

The competition spans Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau, irradiates two major national strategic regions, namely, Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area, and focuses on cutting-edge technologies, such as artificial intelligence and smart city. The competition lasted 2 months, its jury was composed of the professors and experts from the universities and research institutes in Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau, and more than 150 domestic and overseas teams in high-tech fields such as artificial intelligence, advanced semiconductors, and next-generation communication technologies were attracted to participate in the competition. The finals of the competition gathered a variety of venture capital institutions, professional institutions and entrepreneurs from Mainland China, Hong Kong and Macau.

For the winning companies in the competition, TusFinancial Group grants investments to them according to the prizes they won, so as to help the start-up teams to grow up and develop. The award ceremony was arranged at the Beijing-Macau Youth Innovation and Entrepreneurship Forum held in Macau on March 30th, and was witnessed by CHEN Haifan, Secretary of the Secretariat for Administration and Justice of the Macau Special Administrative Region, QI Jing, Member of the Standing Committee and Director of the United Front Work Department of the CPC Beijing Municipal Committee, HE Chaoqiong, Chairman of the Beijing-Macau Economic and Cultural Exchange Promotion Association and other leaders from Beijing and Macau. The competition was held under the guidance of Beijing Overseas Friendship Association, Beijing Returned Overseas Chinese Scholars Federation and Beijing Municipal Commission of Science and Technology, with the support of School of Information Science and Technology of the Tsinghua University, Hong Kong University, Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, University of Macau, Institute of Software of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Suzhou Institute of Nano-Tech and Nano-Bionics (SINANO) of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, InvestHK, Macau Youth Federation and other units. The co-organizers of the competition include: SCC (Smart City Consortium), Hong Kong Venture Capital and Private Equity Association (HKVCA), Hong Kong United Youth Association, Parafuturo de Macau and Zhongguancun Listed Companies Association, etc.


To bring together young innovation and entrepreneurship talents and advanced science and technology across regions, promote the industrialization and marketization of innovation and entrepreneurship projects, and push forward the construction process of “smart cities” and “creative country”, TusFinancial Group hopes that Beijing, Hong Kong and Macau Innovation Competition can be an annual three-site cooperation and innovation event, and accelerate the development of Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macau Greater Bay Area with science and technology innovation.
