Tsinghua North America Alumni Delegation Visited Yangtze DeltaPrint

 From April 25 to 27, a Tsinghua North America alumni delegation of 20 overseas alumni who had the intention of starting business back in China, visited the TusPark (Shanghai) and TusPark (Kunshan) led by Mr. Tian Xingyan, the Director of Tsinghua Alumni Association Overseas Liaison Office, and Mr. Zhang Guanjun, the President of Tsinghua Alumni Association of Northern California. Meanwhile, symposiums had been held with persons in charge of the Ministry of Organization, Committee of Science, Business Committee, Financial Service Office, Investment Service Center of Shanghai Yangpu District, as well as persons in charge of the bureaus of Kunshan (Jiangsu Province), including Municipal Committee, Municipal Government, Ministry of Organization, and Personnel Bureau, so as to obtain a better understanding on the preferential policies from the authorities to overseas entrepreneurs. Mr. Qiu Yong, the Vice President of Tsinghua University, was also present at some events.



The top-notch hardware and software in TusPark (Shanghai) impressed the alumni most. The delegation also visited the Overseas Entrepreneur Plaza and had close communications with the companies based inside. The symposium afterwards was very active with involvement from the alumni and the representatives from relevant function departments of Yangpu District as well as from companies.


During April 26 to 27, the alumni delegation visited TusPark (Kunshan). Mr. Zhang Guohua, Secretary of Municipal CPC Committee of Kunshan, and Mr. Guan Aiguo, Deputy Secretary of Municipal CPC Committee and Mayor were also present at the reception dinner and some other activities held for the alumni delegation on the 26th. 


The success of the visit of Tsinghua North America alumni delegation to the Yangtze Delta can help the alumni to establish an overall understanding of the resources for entrepreneurship in TusPark. With strengthened communication between the TusPark (Shanghai) and TusPark (Kunshan) and the alumni, more Tsinghua alumni will come back to China to start business, and contribute to the economic development in the regions.
