On May 29, the “2020 China-UK Offshore Technology Collaboration Online Promotion Conference & Tus-Aero Unveiling Ceremony” was officially held in Yantai High-tech Industrial Development Zone. Under the guidance of Yantai Ocean Development and Fisheries Bureau, Technology Entrepreneurship Service Center of Yantai High-tech Industrial Development Zone and Beijing Tus-Wind Technology Co., Ltd., the event was jointly hosted by Yantai University-Enterprise Cooperation Demonstration Base, Offshore Renewable Energy Catapult (ORE-Catapult) and TUS-ORE Catapult Research Center (TORC), and co-hosted by Yantai International Technology Market, Zhanjiang Marine Science and Technology Industry Innovation Center, and TusPark (Zhanjiang) Operation Management Co., Ltd.
Considering the severity of the COVID-2019 pandemic at the beginning of the year, the second “China-UK Offshore Technology Collaboration Forum” was postponed. Under such special circumstance, TORC has accelerated the pace of exploration, continued to investigate, exploit, review and introduce high-quality British marine technology and projects through the online technical review system and discussed cooperation and transformation in a flexible and diverse manner, hoping to match and meet the needs of the domestic market and achieve tangible results. In order to better promote the cooperation and exchanges of China-UK marine science and technology projects and better showcase the work results of the past year, TORC held the “China-UK Offshore Technology Collaboration Online Promotion Conference & Tus-Aero Unveiling Ceremony” as a continuation of the first forum and a new starting point for future work.

According to him, TusHoldings bears the social responsibility of promoting global scientific and technological cooperation, hoping that TORC will serve as a bridge for China-UK marine scientific and technological communication and give continuous play to the advantages of both parties in industry, technology and platform, so as to efficiently promote the transformation and implementation of scientific and technological investment results.

At the promotion event, the attending leaders unveiled Shandong Tus-Anakata Technology Services Co., Ltd., the new joint venture incubated by TORC. After the unveiling ceremony, a cloud signing ceremony was held in the main venue, and WANG Pengfei, General Manager of TORC, signed contracts with representatives of 8 British companies, including Anakata Wind Power Resources (UK) Ltd, Power Enable Solutions Ltd, Yantai Research Institute of Harbin Engineering University, Zoex Power Ltd, Miros Group Ltd, Logan Energy Ltd and Aleron Group Ltd, laying the foundation for further cooperation.

According to WANG Pengfei, General Manager of TORC, while continuing to strengthen its internal construction, TORC will actively expand the space for external cooperation, strive to enhance the domestic market competitiveness of the joint venture technology service products and bring tangible revenue results for the high-tech zone governments and enterprises of both countries. In the second half of the year, TORC will adhere to the policy of “bringing in and going global”, continuing to strengthen its efforts in the promotion of cooperation between more advanced foreign technologies and domestic high-quality projects to bring new achievements and impetus for the planned key projects in regional offshore energy.
After the signing ceremony, experts from seven high-quality British companies conducted online roadshows of British projects to the participating representatives, introduced in detail the features and development visions of their respective project teams, and conducted cloud exchanges and cloud discussions.
