Chairman Wang Jiwu invited to deliver keynote speech at China-Russia Digital Economy Forum Summit 2020Print

China-Russia Digital Economy Forum Summit 2020, co-sponsored by China Association for Science and Technology and Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations (hereinafter referred to as RNSEA), was held online in Beijing, Moscow and other places at the same time on December 22. Wang Jiwu, Chairman of Board of TUSHOLDINGS and Commissioner of Digital Economy Special Committee Of China Federation of Network Social Organizations, was invited to attend the summit and deliver the keynote speech.

Themed by "promoting digital economy and building smart society", the forum is one of the activities of the Year of Scientific and Technical Innovation between China and Russia established by the heads of state of both countries. Song Jun, Member of the CPC Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of China Association for Science and Technology, and Drukarenko Sergey Petrovic, first Secretary of RNSEA, attended the meeting and addressed a speech. Guriyayev Yuri Vasiliyevich, President of RNSEA and Academician of Russian Academy of Sciences, wrote a letter to the forum.

In his speech, Wang Jiwu pointed out that digital economy must focus on digital science and technology, turn digital technology into digital industry and apply digital technology to promote transformation and upgrading of traditional industries. As a science and technology investment holding group focusing on science and technology services, TUSHOLDINGS has been attaching great importance to the investment, incubation and industrialization of digital technology and thus playing an active and important role in the front line of prevention and control of the epidemic situation of COVID-19.


Wang Jiwu stressed the 2020 is special. The new epidemic situation has posed challenges to the economic development of all countries in the world. The growth of digital economy can make up for the losses in traditional economic area and help economic recovery. both this year and next year are the Year of Scientific and Technical Innovation between China and Russia". TUSHOLDINGS has been actively promoting construction of the ecosystem of cooperation in scientific and technical innovation between both countries. The construction of science park projects cooperated between China and Russian partners has started, and so has Sino-Russian venture capital funds. This year, the general secretary mentioned many times in his speech that digital economy is the direction of future development and innovation is the path to realization. He pointed out that TUSHOLDINGS is the undertaker of the activities of 2020 China Russia Digital Economy Demonstration Projects jointly sponsored by Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations and China Association of Science and Technology. Since this summer, TUSHOLDINGS has worked together with experts, entrepreneurs and venture capital institutions of the two countries to organize a total of three live technology shows, five project roadshows and eight offline interfacing, most of which, in particular, focus on digital economy, covering digital education, digital humanities, quantum communication, digital oilfield, intelligent manufacturing, digital consumption and other segmented industries, and continue to carry out offline tracking to help enterprises interface with markets and partners. In the future, TUSHOLDINGS will continue to strengthen cooperation with China Association for Science and Technology, Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations, as well as the circle of scientific and technical innovation in China and Russia, and strive to achieve win-win cooperation in digital economy and scientific and technological innovation between China and Russia.


The experts who gave keynote speeches at the forum including: Gong Ke, President of World Federation of Engineering Organizations; Lalisa Cheledenichenko, Professor of Russian Plekhanov University of Economics; Anatoly Valetov, President of Moscow Innovation Cluster; and Sun Zhuangzhi, Director of Russian Institute of Eastern Europe and Central Asia, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The experts who participated in the round table discussion of the forum including: Zhu Xufeng, Vice President of School of Public Administration of Tsinghua University; Pavil Potiev, Chief Digital Transformation Officer of Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration; Guo Hai, Director of Digital Entrepreneurship & Innovation Research Center of Renmin University of China; and Dennis Moichev, Senior Vice President of Sino-Russian Venture Capital Funds. In September 2019, Chinese Association for Science and Technology and Russian Union of Scientific and Engineering Associations signed the memorandum of understanding on further strengthening exchanges and cooperation in science, technology, culture and education in the presence of the prime ministers of China and Russia. As an important measure to implement the memorandum of understanding and a crucial activity of the Year of Scientific and Technological Innovation between China and Russia, both sides jointly launched activities of China-Russia Digital Economy Demonstration Projects in 2020. The forum fueled the activities of China-Russia Digital Economy Demonstration Projects to a new height in perfect ending. In addition to main meetings in Beijing and Moscow, the forum also went live streaming via guangming.com and other platforms, covering more than two million online viewers.

Before the forum, Chairman Wang Jiwu and his team met Song Jun, Song Jun, Member of the CPC Group and Secretary of the Secretariat of China Association for Science and Technology. Both sides reached a consensus on China’s further strengthening cooperation in scientific and technological innovation with Russia. Miao Chun, Deputy General Manager of TUSHOLDINGS Science and Technology Services, and Liu Tao, Director of Investment of TUSHOLDINGS Science and Technology Services attended the talks. Leaders and representatives attended the forum of China International Science and Technology Exchange Center, Science and Technology Communication Center of China Association for Science and Technology, Enterprise Innovation Service Center of China Association for Science and Technology, Beijing Association for Science and Technology, Management Committee of Zhongguancun Science Park, Zhongguancun Development Group, Russian Liaison Office of Zhongguancun, as well as relevant Chinese and Russian institutions, science parks, investment institutions and enterprises.
