Minister Huynh Thanh Dat presented a souvenir to Chairman Wang Jiwu.

At the meeting, Wang Jiwu extended a warm welcome and sincere gratitude to Huynh Thanh Dat and his delegation, noting that it fully demonstrated the importance and trust placed in the collaboration between both sides. He pointed out that TusHoldings has always paid great attention to the cooperation with Vietnam. He reviewed and introduced the first China-ASEAN cross-border incubator established in 2018 in Dongxing, Guangxi, in collaboration with Vietnam, as well as the establishment of the China-ASEAN Science and Technology Industry Cooperation Committee with the support of China, Vietnam, and other ASEAN countries. He also mentioned the establishment of China's first undergraduate-level Digital College at Guangxi University of Science and Technology, as well as the establishment of a cross-border e-commerce platform company serving ASEAN, which has developed into a “Chinese model”. TusHoldings has successfully established multiple “Dual countries, Dual Parks” projects and explored the “TUS model” for cooperation with overseas university science parks. In the future, this model could be adapted to Vietnam’s unique context to develop the science and technology park at Ho Chi Minh City National University and promote its integration with TusHolding’s global innovation network.

Regarding the integration of innovation and industrial chains, Wang Jiwu emphasized that China and Vietnam enjoy very close economic ties. The industrial upgrading must rely on innovation, and there is a need to strengthen the integration of innovation and industrial chains. TusHoldings has not only established a global innovation network comprising hundreds of parks and incubators but has also created numerous emerging industrial groups and possesses a large number of technology companies. With its unique advantages in the innovation chain, TusHoldings is well-positioned to assist Vietnam in advancing related efforts.

Huynh Thanh Dat expressed his sincere gratitude for Wang Jiwu's warm hospitality. He noted that during Chairman Xi's visit to Vietnam in 2023, both sides jointly announced a new positioning of bilateral relations, deepening the comprehensive strategic cooperative partnership. Especially against the backdrop of both countries' efforts to build a community with a shared future, cooperation in various fields, particularly in science and technology, has entered a new phase of broad development, setting newer and more forward-looking directions.

During minister’s current visit to China, he visited Shanghai and Beijing, and held meetings and exchanges with several Chinese departments, including the Chinese Ministry of Science and Technology, achieving substantial results. He stated, “I was previously aware of TusHoldings’ development model and highly appreciate it. I hope to draw on the development experience of the TusPark to build the Science Park at Ho Chi Minh City National University.” He mentioned that TusHoldings has already established a presence in Indonesia and Malaysia, and hope that the “Dual countries, Dual Parks” model can also be implemented in Vietnam. TusHoldings has strong advantages in promoting scientific and technological innovation and incubating technology startups, and Vietnam intends to reference and learn from its experience in the future. “I wish TusHoldings even greater achievements in the future and hope that cooperation between our two countries in the field of science and technology will deepen and develop in a sustainable and healthy direction.”
