At present, China-Brazil cooperation is embracing new historical opportunities. Practical cooperation is increasingly broad and diversified, with traditional fields continuously exploring new potential, and new highlights emerging in new infrastructure, new energy, new technology, and new business formats, providing strong momentum for the two countries to jointly pursue development. As a leading enterprise in China’s science and technology service sector, TusHoldings has been committed to China-Brazil sci-tech innovation cooperation for nearly a decade and has become an important part of exchanges and cooperation in this field between the two countries.
As early as May 28, 2014, a 32-member delegation led by then Brazilian Deputy Minister of Science and Technology Alvaro Prata — including representatives from the Brazilian Ministry of Science and Technology, the Brazilian Association of Science Parks and Business Incubators, the Brazilian Development Bank, São Paulo State University, and Brazilian enterprises — visited TusPark and toured the Toyota-Tsinghua Research Institute. The delegation was received by Herbert Chen, then Executive Vice President of TusHoldings. The Brazilian Embassy in China later sent a special letter to TusHoldings, stating that the delegation had achieved its goal of learning China’s science park management model and operational experience and establishing cooperative relations with Chinese science parks, and expressed gratitude to TusHoldings for promoting cooperation between science parks and enterprises of both countries.
In the past two years, TusHoldings has continued to make remarkable progress in promoting China-Brazil sci-tech innovation cooperation. Here are some notable moments:
On March 28, 2023, TusHoldings Chairman Wang Jiwu met with a visiting Brazilian business delegation at TusPark Beijing. The delegation arrived in China in advance as part of the Brazilian President’s delegation for exchange visits. The two sides discussed cooperation in sci-tech innovation and renewable energy. During the exchange, Chairman Wang Jiwu put forward three suggestions: 1) Give full play to the strength of governments, universities, and enterprises in China and Brazil; 2) Focus on combining technological achievement transformation with emerging industries; and 3) Actively leverage the power of global collaboration. He believes that global cooperation is not only beneficial to innovation and development in China and Brazil, but also to the progress of all countries around the world. On the same day, Tus-Greentech signed a strategic cooperation agreement with Brazil’s Ceará state in Beijing and participated in the signing ceremony for the fourth phase of cooperation of the China-Brazil Climate Change and Energy Technology Innovation Research Center.

On April 18, 2023, China Trade News, under the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade, published a special report on “China-Brazil Science and Technology Cooperation.” The article mentioned that during President Lula’s visit to China, the two countries achieved many cooperation results in the field of science and technology, and noted that the Brazilian business delegation had visited TusHoldings as part of the President’s delegation. During the visit, a delegation member tried out a handheld ECG device and exclaimed “amazing” when staff explained the data. While hearing about TusHoldings’ overseas business development, delegation members expressed their expectation of future cooperation with TusHoldings in sci-tech innovation.
