On October 17, 2025, Mr. Wang Jiwu, Chairman of TusHoldings, received Mr. Thomas Gfeller, the newly appointed CEO of Switzerland Innovation Park, and his delegation at TusPark Beijing (Tsinghua Science Park). The two sides held in-depth discussions on potential synergies between their business models, the establishment of a “Twin Parks” collaboration mechanism, and the integration of financial resources. The meeting laid a solid foundation for advancing the China–Switzerland Innovation Park Network. Mr. Sun Ke, China Director of Switzerland Innovation Park, and Mr. Yang Ming, Vice President of TusHoldings, also attended the meeting.

At the beginning of the meeting, Mr. Gfeller expressed a strong sense of familiarity and affinity toward TusHoldings, remarking that he “felt like coming home.” This sense of connection stemmed not only from the long-standing cooperation between the two institutions but also from their shared values and alignment in innovation-driven development models.
During the discussion, Mr. Gfeller provided an overview of the current development of Switzerland Innovation Park. After more than a decade of construction, the network has now entered a critical operational phase. The organization coordinates six independently operated regional parks across Switzerland, undertaking core functions such as unified brand strategy, quality management, and industrial incubation under an equity-based governance structure. This networked, standardized operational model resonates strongly with the development philosophy of TusHoldings.
Mr. Wang highly praised the development model of Switzerland Innovation Park, noting that its early establishment of a networked, standardized, and digitalized system offers valuable experience for global inter-park cooperation. He further introduced TusHoldings’ long-term commitment to science park operations and its pioneering “Twin Parks” model—an approach that connects innovation ecosystems between two countries to achieve resource sharing and enterprise collaboration.
Citing the collaboration between TusHoldings and Cambridge Science Park in the UK as an example, Mr. Wang emphasized how major financial institutions such as HSBC and Barclays have played a key role in supporting British tech companies’ entry into the Chinese market. He suggested that this successful model could serve as a valuable reference for China–Switzerland cooperation.
Mr. Gfeller showed great interest in Chairman Wang’s insights and responded positively. He noted that while major institutions such as UBS and Credit Suisse already participate as board members of Switzerland Innovation Park, dedicated financial instruments for startups remain underdeveloped. The concept of “financial synergy” proposed by TusHoldings, he said, provides an important direction for future cooperation.
Regarding the implementation of the “Twin Parks” model, Mr. Gfeller expressed strong support for Mr. Wang’s proposal to establish China–Switzerland and Switzerland–China Industrial Parks. He suggested starting cooperation with the Zurich Park, located near ETH Zurich and Zurich Airport, by setting up a joint information center or a dedicated space for Chinese enterprises—an initiative that could gradually serve as a major gateway for Chinese companies entering the European market.
The two sides also exchanged insights on diversified investment and science park operation models, recognizing each other’s innovative practices and achievements. The meeting concluded with a consensus on follow-up action plans.
The meeting reaffirmed the commitment of both parties to advancing cooperation centered on the “Twin Parks” concept, with the Zurich Park identified as the priority site for collaboration. The two sides also developed diversified cooperation options and reached a preliminary consensus on engaging Swiss financial institutions in technology finance initiatives. As follow-up work progresses, the partnership between TusHoldings and Switzerland Innovation Park is expected to inject new momentum into China–Switzerland cooperation in science, technology, and innovation.
