The recent Innovate Cambridge Summit, held at the Cambridge Guildhall, brought together leaders from government, academia, and industry to celebrate Cambridge's outstanding achievements within the global innovation ecosystem and chart the course for its next phase of development. As a key partner of Innovate Cambridge, TusPark UK is collaborating to drive an ambitious ten-year strategic plan. This initiative aims to incubate life sciences and deep tech companies, accelerate the commercialization of research, and foster the vibrant growth of the Cambridge innovation ecosystem.

Over the past decade, the Cambridge innovation ecosystem has grown by nearly 80%, with the number of active companies increasing from 473 to 848. Since 2015, early-stage life sciences and deep tech firms have collectively raised £79 billion in funding, an increase of nearly eightfold. In 2024, the average investment secured by life sciences companies reached £2.49 million—2.5 times the figure for the Greater London area. The average equity funding across all companies stood at £1.6 million, a 385% increase since 2015, making Cambridge the fastest-growing region in the UK for innovation investment. In June of this year, TusPark UK formalized its partnership with Innovate Cambridge. Together, they will work to double the number of "innovation-driven" companies in the Cambridge region and significantly enhance the ecosystem's investment scale and growth potential.

Cambridge TusPark, a flagship project jointly developed by TusHoldings and Trinity College, Cambridge, serves as a cornerstone for this collaboration. With key assets like the Life Sciences Innovation Centre, it continues to drive the upgrade and integration of the regional innovation ecosystem. As a partner of Innovate Cambridge, TusPark UK will continue to work alongside Cambridge Science Park, the University of Cambridge, government bodies, and international partners to build a bridge for UK-China innovation cooperation, helping more technological achievements from both nations make their way from Cambridge to the world.
