On January 19, a delegation led by Danish Iqbal, Chairman of Karachi Technology City (KTC), visited TusHoldings and toured the Tsinghua University Science Park. Wang Jiwu, Chairman of TusHoldings, hosted the delegation for an in-depth symposium. The two sides engaged in comprehensive discussions on topics including "Two Countries, Two Parks" cooperation and technology industry collaboration. Participants included Amer Hashmi, Co-Chairman of KTC; Ubaid Amanullah, COO of KTC; Sai Fulin, Executive President of TusHoldings; Yang Ming, Vice President of TusHoldings; Chen Hongbo, Senior Executive Vice President of TusHoldings; and Zhu Deyuan, General Manager of TusStar Kashgar.

At the onset of the meeting, Chairman Wang Jiwu extended a warm welcome to Danish Iqbal and his delegation. He emphasized that the friendship between China and Pakistan is profound, noting that technological cooperation is not only an intrinsic requirement for the development of both nations but also a vital bond for deepening pragmatic collaboration. He stated that TusHoldings attaches great importance to its partnership with Pakistan and is eager to leverage its mature experience and premium resources to support the upgrading of the local tech industry.

The Pakistani delegation expressed their gratitude for the warm reception. Co-Chairman Amer Hashmi reflected on the long-standing relationship between the two entities, mentioning that they have maintained active exchanges with TusPark through the IASP (International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation) since 2012. He remarked that TusHoldings is always the "first to come to mind" when advancing cooperation with China, expressing deep recognition and trust in the "TusHoldings Model." Chairman Danish Iqbal acknowledged that there is significant room for improvement in Pakistan's tech innovation and science park operations, expressing a desire to systematically learn from TusHoldings’ proven expertise to accelerate the development of the local tech industry for the benefit of the Pakistani people.
Integrating TusHoldings’ strengths with the current context, Chairman Wang Jiwu proposed a three-point cooperation roadmap:
Mechanism Establishment: Theworking teams of both sides should establish a formal mechanism as soon aspossible to lock in the direction of cooperation and provide a solidfoundation for future initiatives.
"Two Countries, Two Parks" Mechanism: Utilizing TusHoldings’ Kashgar park and KarachiTechnology City as strategic pivots to build a two-way resource flowchannel, enabling efficient linkage of innovation elements.
Core Industry Focus: Prioritizingthe introduction of Chinese AI and Large Language Model (LLM) enterprisesto Karachi to drive the aggregation of high-quality resources such asdata, algorithms, and talent.
Chairman Wang further detailed TusHoldings’ three core competitive advantages: its global network of over 300 science parks that enables "single-point access, network-wide sharing"; a diversified business portfolio spanning park development, new energy, data centers, and tech investment that can precisely match Pakistan’s needs for land, power, and policy support; and a vast pool of innovative companies with mature models for technology and product export. The Pakistani delegation responded positively to these proposals and further discussed park operations, industrial development, and talent training.
The symposium concluded with several key consensuses and a follow-up action plan. Both parties are committed to upgrading the "Two-Park" project into a flagship bilateral cooperation vehicle supported by the governments of both China and Pakistan. With AI, LLMs, and new energy as entry points, the collaboration will involve the full-scale export of TusHoldings’ mature "Park + Investment + Industry" model. This partnership aims to set a new benchmark for Sino-Pakistan tech cooperation, injecting fresh momentum into the bilateral relationship and socio-economic development. During the meeting, the two sides also explored facilitating air routes and land port customs clearance between Kashgar, Islamabad, and Karachi, as well as the establishment of a joint venture Special Purpose Vehicle (SPV). Prior to the meeting, the delegation visited the TusStar Incubator and the TusHoldings digital showroom.
