Chinese Ambassador to South Korea Talks with Advisor to TusHoldingsPrint

On February 10, Chinese Ambassador to the Republic of Korea Dai Bing held friendly exchanges with relevant personnel of the Korea‑China Exchange Association. Present at the event were association members including Kim Yong‑duk, President of the Korea‑China Exchange Association and Overseas Advisor to TusHoldings; Park Yang‑woo, Advisor to the Association and former Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism of the Republic of Korea; Kim Hyung‑joo, Vice President of the Association, former Deputy Mayor for Political Affairs of Seoul Metropolitan Government and former Member of the National Assembly of the Republic of Korea; and Ryu Ji‑won, President of UANGEL Corporation. Also in attendance were Fang Kun, Minister of the Chinese Embassy in the Republic of Korea, and Tang Liang, Counselor of the Embassy.

Ambassador Dai Bing extended New Year greetings to the delegation led by Kim Yong‑duk and briefed them on the recent state visit to China by President Lee Jae‑myung of the Republic of Korea. He stated that President Xi Jinping and President Lee Jae‑myung had in‑depth exchanges of views on the development of bilateral relations as well as international and regional issues of common interest, and reached a series of important new consensuses. The mutual visits by the two heads of state within just over two months fully demonstrate the great importance both sides attach to China‑ROK relations, charting the course and injecting new impetus for the steady and sustained growth of bilateral ties. China stands ready to work with the ROK to fully implement the important consensus reached by the two heads of state and elevate the China‑ROK strategic and cooperative partnership to a new level. It is hoped that the Korea‑China Exchange Association and people from various sectors in the ROK will continue to play an active role and contribute wisdom and strength to deepening friendly cooperation between the two countries.

 

The ROK side spoke highly of President Lee Jae‑myung’s visit to China and the outcomes of the summit between the two heads of state, expressing full confidence and expectations among all sectors of Korean society for the future development of ROK‑China relations and exchanges and cooperation in various fields. Guided by the important consensus reached by the two heads of state, the Korea‑China Exchange Association will actively act as a bridge and bond to contribute greater efforts to the sound and stable development of bilateral relations. Meanwhile, the Association will remain committed to advancing ROK‑China economic cooperation and make active contributions to the deepening of economic and trade exchanges and practical cooperation between the two countries.
