On March 2, Mr. Wang Jiwu, Chairman of TusHoldings, together with the core team, received a delegation from seven renowned public universities in Spain. The two sides held in-depth discussions on key topics including China-Spain university cooperation, transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and joint development of international innovation parks. Preliminary consensus was reached on cooperative business models, concepts, and multi-field cooperation empowered by university alliances, laying a solid foundation for follow-up collaboration.

During the symposium, Chairman Wang Jiwu extended a warm welcome to the Spanish university delegation and put forward three core viewpoints on the coordinated development of science, technology and education between China and Spain. First, TusHoldings attaches great importance to all-round cooperation with Spain. As a globally influential country, Spain has long maintained traditional friendly exchanges with China, which has laid a solid foundation for cross-sector cooperation between the two sides. Second, TusHoldings has been actively promoting the implementation and effectiveness of China-Spain cooperation. Its business team has previously established an incubation platform in Spain and conducted in-depth exchanges with representatives of Spanish universities on many occasions, accumulating rich practical experience for bilateral cooperation. Third, taking this meeting as an important opportunity, the two sides are expected to establish a more direct and extensive long-term cooperation mechanism. TusHoldings will fully advance all-round coordination in the sci-tech sector between China and Spain, covering industry-university-research collaboration among universities, joint construction of international innovation parks, implementation of the "Two Countries, Two Parks" model, linked development of future and emerging industries, and joint investment.
Mr. Alberto Salcines Sáez, Director Unit of Internationalization of Spanish Higher Education System, responded positively to Chairman Wang Jiwu’s remarks. He noted that his department is mainly responsible for core work such as international exchanges of Spanish universities, mobility of researchers, and promotion of cooperative projects. Spain boasts strong cooperation potential, and the two countries enjoy profound friendly cooperation with broad prospects for collaboration. The delegation comprises core representatives from seven prestigious public universities in Spain, hoping to take this exchange as a bond to further align the advantageous resources and core needs of both sides, and build a long-term, stable and win-win cooperation bridge.
It was confirmed at the meeting that Yang Ming, Vice President of TusHoldings, and Wang Fei, Deputy General Manager of TusStar, will serve as TusHoldings’ liaison representatives to establish a regular communication mechanism with the Spanish university delegation and promote the implementation of various cooperation projects. Prior to the meeting, Vice President Yang Ming accompanied the delegation on a visit to the TusHoldings Digital Exhibition Hall, where he elaborated on TusHoldings’ core "three-in-one" operation model of "Science Parks + Tech Industries + Tech Finance", as well as its practical achievements in the in-depth integration of government, enterprises, universities and research institutes. He also highlighted the "Two Countries, Two Parks" international cooperation model promoted by TusHoldings worldwide, enabling the delegation to fully understand TusHoldings’ innovation strength and cooperative advantages.

The Spanish delegation included: Mr. Adrián Gutiérrez Abollos, Counselor for Research, Technology, Innovation of the Embassy of Spain in China; Ms. María Luisa Ochoa Fernández, Education Counsellor of the Embassy of Spain in China; Mr. Alberto Salcines Sáez, Representative of the Spanish Agency for International Education Cooperation, Ministry of Science, Innovation and Universities of Spain; as well as Vice Presidents for Internationalization, Directors of International Affairs and heads of international programs from seven public Spanish universities: the University of the Basque Country, University of Vigo, University of Alicante, University of Jaén, University of Oviedo, University of Huelva, and University of Cádiz.
