On April 8, TusHoldings Chairman Wang Jiwu met with Elisabeth Jordà, Chair of the Catalonia Technology Park Association (Spain) and Head of Strategic Development and Innovation at the Polytechnic University of Catalonia (UPC), at TusPark. The discussion focused on deepening China-Spain science and technology cooperation.

Chairman Wang detailed three international cooperation models developed by TusHoldings:
1. **Multi-Park Network Collaboration Model** – Exemplified by TusHoldings’ cooperation with Switzerland, establishing a nationwide technology park network rather than single-park collaboration. Since signing the agreement in 2016, Switzerland expanded from a single park to a 30+ park network, forming a national technology park network in coordination with TusHoldings. Wang noted Spain shares similar philosophies, with Catalonia as an innovation hub hosting a top European startup ecosystem. Cooperation could focus on multi-park coordination, resource sharing, and cross-promotion of enterprises.
2. **Direct Investment Co-Build Model** – Exemplified by TusHoldings’ partnership with Cambridge Science Park in the UK, involving direct investment, acquisition of park shares, and participation in university technology commercialization, covering the full chain from park construction to industrial cultivation. This model suits direct cooperation with top Spanish universities such as UPC to establish a close innovation community through capital ties.
3. **"Two Countries, Two Parks" Strategic Model** – Establishing sister technology park relationships to enable two-way incubation and investment. Wang highlighted that UPC, with the highest number of patents and unicorns in Spain (9 unicorns accounting for nearly 20% nationally), complements TusStar’s global innovation network, suggesting potential co-development of a "Two Countries, Two Parks" demonstration project.
Elisabeth Jordà expressed strong support for all three models, emphasizing network collaboration to scale startups from micro to medium enterprises. She noted the Catalonia government and UPC aim to build innovation ecosystems in vertical sectors such as medical technology and see cooperation with TusHoldings as a channel for Chinese enterprises to enter Europe and for Spanish enterprises to access China. She characterized this visit as an important first step, with future expansion possible to other Spanish cities and science parks.

Prior to the discussion, TusHoldings VP Yang Ming introduced the development of TusHoldings, its global innovation network, and technology service system. After the discussion, Elisabeth Jordà’s delegation visited the TusStar incubation base, observed a robotics demonstration, and gained further insight into TusHoldings’ practices in entrepreneurship incubation and industrial cultivation. The meeting was also attended by Spain-China Chamber of Commerce Vice President and Chint Energy CEO Ma Jingjing, TusStar Spain partner Chen Qing, TusHoldings Incubation Director and TusStar Executive VP Liu Xueliang, TusStar VP Wang Fei, and TusStar Tiankai Park General Manager Zhang Nan.
