Official Argentine Delegation Visits TusHoldings for Cooperation ExchangePrint

On May 21, Hernan Lombardi, Minister of Science and Technology Development of the City of Buenos Aires, Argentina, led a government delegation to pay a visit to TusHoldings. Herbert Chen, Senior Executive Vice President of TusHoldings and former President of the International Association of Science Parks and Areas of Innovation (IASP), received the guests. The two sides exchanged views on topics including science park development and enterprise incubation.

Herbert Chen extended a warm welcome to the Argentine delegation and gave a systematic introduction to TusHoldings’ operation model, development achievements and global layout. He highlighted the Group’s successful cross-border cooperation cases and experience in the United Kingdom, Belgium, Malaysia, Egypt and other countries. He noted that the science and technology industries of China and Argentina feature distinctive strengths and strong complementarities. He expressed hopes that this exchange could unlock cooperation opportunities across multiple sectors, facilitate the two-way sharing of sci-tech resources between the two sides, and jointly deliver mutually beneficial outcomes.


Minister Hernan Lombardi thanked TusHoldings for the warm reception and detailed sharing. During the discussion, he outlined the overall layout and current development of the science and technology industry in Buenos Aires, local university resources, preferential tax policies, as well as plans for building an innovation district in the city. He hoped to draw on TusHoldings’ mature experience in science park construction and tech enterprise incubation, as well as its international cooperation model, to boost the growth of key local industries such as artificial intelligence and blockchain, and advance the development of the Buenos Aires Innovation District.


Both parties agreed to further align information on sci-tech policies, enterprise demands and industrial resources after the meeting. They will organize matchmaking roadshows and reciprocal exchanges between Chinese and Argentine enterprises at an appropriate time to advance the delivery of practical cooperation projects.


Prior to the forum, Minister Hernan Lombardi and his entourage toured TusStar Incubator and its resident tech enterprises. They were deeply impressed by TusHoldings’ incubation model, its achievements, and the intelligent robot demonstration staged by Silicon Base Park, an incubated enterprise.

Geraldine Gueron, Director of the Buenos Aires Municipal Science and Technology Bureau, and Agustin Gil Michel, Diplomat of the Political Section at the Argentine Embassy in China, accompanied the delegation on the visit.
