Wang Jiwu extended a warm welcome to the delegation. He noted that TusHoldings’ sci-tech innovation ecosystem encompasses a system of science and technology parks and incubators, an investment fund system, plus a wide array of emerging industrial divisions covering cutting-edge technologies across multiple sectors. Drawing on TusHoldings’ experience in international cooperation, he put forward three proposals for collaboration:

First, drawing on the model of China-Germany Science and Technology Parks, establish a China-Brazil Science and Technology Park in China to build an industrial cluster hub for Brazilian enterprises expanding their presence in China.

Second, learning from TusHoldings’ cooperation experience with British trade promotion bodies and financial institutions, invite Brazilian organizations to join the New Development Bank (NDB) of the BRICS to set up a regular mechanism, organizing delegations of Brazilian tech firms to China for matchmaking every year.

Third, build a regular exchange platform for Chinese and Brazilian entrepreneurs to advance practical cooperation between the two sides in artificial intelligence, clean energy, advanced manufacturing and other sectors through targeted matchmaking.

Wang Shugui briefed the delegation on TusHoldings’ industrial investment portfolio, global innovation network layout, and sci-tech incubation operations.

The Brazilian side was led by Pedro Valério, Chief Executive Officer of Caldeira Institute. He stated that this marked his second visit to TusHoldings following a trip last year, and spoke highly of TusHoldings’ globally leading position in sci-tech innovation and industrial incubation. Comprising professionals from finance, manufacturing, healthcare, environmental protection and other sectors, the Brazilian delegation showed keen interest in TusHoldings’ solutions for artificial intelligence, big data, new energy and beyond. They expressed anticipation of forming a long-term partnership with TusHoldings to jointly advance industrial upgrading in relevant sectors of Brazil. Representatives from Invest RS and other institutions also discussed concrete cooperation pathways with the Chinese side.

During the talks, representatives of Tus Digital Sanitation and Puhua Environmental respectively introduced their business strengths in intelligent sanitation, water treatment and ecological environment governance, and voiced strong willingness to carry out project cooperation with Brazilian partners.

At the meeting, TusHoldings and Brazil’s Caldeira Institute signed the MOU. Under the memorandum, with the mission of boosting innovation, education, science and technological research, the two parties will cooperate on exchange-oriented soft-landing initiatives, innovation projects and related events. They will foster sustainable development and competitiveness of micro and small enterprises in Rio Grande do Sul, Brazil, and push forward the implementation of follow-up projects by negotiating specific commercial and operational terms on that basis.
