On the afternoon of 16 July, the signing ceremony for the Bilateral Park Cooperation (“Two Countries, Two Parks”) between TusHoldings and Kenya’s Konza Technopolis, together with the Africa Overseas Investment Exchange Event, was successfully hosted at the Shuimu Space, Tus Fashion Science City in Suzhou.

Mr. Betangabeh Taku Khumbah, representative of Konza Technopolis, visited Tus Suzhou Science City and held dedicated business negotiations with TusHoldings on China-Kenya industrial cooperation. The two sides formally signed a Framework Agreement on Strategic Cooperation, aiming to establish a platform for enterprise collaboration to facilitate targeted matchmaking and resource complementarity between Chinese and Kenyan businesses. Nearly 30 enterprises based in Tus Suzhou Science City, including Century Yunmo, Muye International and Yadu Water Technology, took part in the exchange.

As a key African hub along the Maritime Silk Road, Kenya has built a solid foundation for cooperation with China under the Belt and Road Initiative. High-tech and emerging industries across Africa are undergoing rapid growth, making overseas expansion an inevitable choice for Chinese tech enterprises to capture future opportunities and sustain growth.

Against this backdrop, Mr. Betangabeh Taku Khumbah briefed participating enterprises and guests on the strategic positioning and development roadmap of Konza Technopolis. A flagship national tech centre prioritised by the Government of Kenya, the park is known as the “Silicon Valley of Africa”. Covering over 30,000 mu, it hosts numerous universities and innovative talents, alongside a large community of startups, tech incubators and international tech firms. It seeks deeper collaboration with Chinese enterprises in four key sectors: information and communications technology, biotechnology, low-altitude economy and smart manufacturing.

Lin Kaisen, Senior Vice President of TusHoldings and Chairman of Tus Suzhou / Tus Kunshan, extended a warm welcome to the Kenyan delegation. He noted that this partnership with Konza Technopolis marks a vital move for the Group to implement China’s “Going Global” strategy and expand overseas footprint. It also represents a key practice in advancing TusHoldings’ cross-border industrial collaboration and enabling two-way flows of innovation resources between China and Kenya. Moving forward, the two sides will build a practical cooperation platform for enterprises in priority sectors including information technology, low-altitude economy, trade and finance.

During the event, both parties formally signed the strategic cooperation framework agreement. Guided by the principles of equality, voluntariness, complementary advantages and mutual benefit, they will focus on three core areas: enterprise matchmaking, industrial linkage and market alignment.

The two sides jointly unveiled the “Two Countries, Two Parks” joint base of Konza Technopolis – TusHoldings (Suzhou). Relying on this base, three major workstreams will be advanced: first, establishing joint cooperation platforms and reciprocal representative offices to build a physical bridge for China-Kenya sci-tech collaboration; second, boosting industrial matchmaking by linking parks, universities and enterprises on both sides to deliver comprehensive support for cross-border business expansion; third, deepening talent exchange through joint training, study tours and other activities to cultivate international professionals for China-Africa sci-tech cooperation.

This event marks a solid milestone in TusHoldings’ internationalisation strategy. The signing and unveiling ceremony represents a milestone built on years of engagement and a starting point for China-Kenya sci-tech cooperation to reach new heights. Going forward, TusHoldings will fully support the implementation of all agreed initiatives and work alongside Konza Technopolis to explore new models for China-Africa industrial investment promotion, cross-border trade and technological collaboration.
