Zhongguancun University Science Park Union Is Jointly Established by 14 Science Parks including TusParkPrint

On the morning of May 31, establishment and opening ceremony of Zhongguancun University Science Park Union was held in the international conference center of Baiyan Building, Beihang Science Park. 14 university science parks within Zhongguancun Science Parks including Tsinghua Science Park became first member institution. The director of management committee of Zhongguancun Science Parks, Dai Wei, the vice president of Beijing Aviation and Aerospace University, Xu Huibin, officials of Ministry of Science and Technology, Municipal Education Commission, Municipal Education Commission, and Zhongguancun Management Committee, president of Tsinghua Science Park TusPark Co.,Ltd. Xu Jinghong, vice president Cao Yibing, president assistant Qin Jun, and leaders from14 university science parks including Beihang Science Park attended the meeting.

President of Tsinghua Science Park TusPark Co.,Ltd. Xu Jinghong was elected as the first director-general of the union council in the meeting, and the executive vice general manager Li Jun was elected as the first secretary-general of the union council. In the meeting, as the representative of 14 science parks in the union, President Xu read out “Written Proposal on Establishing Zhongguancun University Science Park Union”. The proposal pointed out, significant achievement has been made in China’s university science parks after more than a decade’s exploration and construction, remarkable contribution has been made in turning the high and new scientific achievements into products, high and new technology enterprise incubation, and innovative personnel training, etc., and it has become the new focus of collection and fusion of various innovative elements and resources. To promote fast and better development of university science parks in Zhongguancun area, the establishment of “Zhongguancun University Science Park Union” was proposed. The union will create resource sharing mechanism, improve the incubation system of university science parks, accelerate the commercialization of scientific achievements, and strengthen the integration of industry, university and research institutions among various higher education institutions in Beijing by relying on various resource advantages of university science parks in Zhongguancun area; improve innovative service level of university science parks in Zhongguancun area, promote brand innovation of university science parks. The union council will also actively study and solve common issues in the development of university science parks, investigate the development model of university science parks, formulate the trade standard required for the development of the union, promote the connection of industrial chains at upstream, middle stream and downstream, and make bigger contribution to the fast development of science parks in Zhongguancun and economy of the capital.

Vice president of Beijing Aviation and Aerospace University Xu Huibin, vice section chief of Industrial Development Section, High and New Bureau, Ministry of Science and Technology Li Zhinong, vice director of Zhongguancun Science Park Management Committee Xia Yingqi gave speeches.
