Delegation from Forum on China-Africa Science and Technology Cooperation visits TusParkPrint

On the morning of December 2, 2011, over 50 delegates from the Forum on China-Africa Cooperation, who represented 42 African countries and the African Union, visited TusPark in groups. The delegates proposed two topics for discussion:“science and technology strategy and policy” and “science park planning and construction” during their on-site visit and study. Mr. Li Zhiqiang, Executive Vice President of Tsinghua Science Park Co., Ltd warmly welcomed the visitors, and attentively listened to and answered the delegates’ questions.
As a branch of “Forum on China-Africa Cooperation," the “Forum of China-Africa Science and Technology Cooperation” is an important part of the Sharm El Sheikh Action Plan. Based on the current level of China and Africa’s science and technology development, the forum aims to promote bi-lateral cooperation and co-development through addressing the two parties’ respective needs, especially to facilitate African countries to learn from China’s science and technology strategy and science park planning experiences.
Excited on the beautiful snowy day, the African delegates had a through discussion on the operation mode of university science parks, commercialization of science and technology achievements. Particularly the appraised the achievements of TusPark, and expressed their will to further the understanding and cooperation between the two parties.
